My daughter was diagnosed with apraxia when she was three by a speech therapist after a third evaluation and confirmed by a developmental pediatrician. She did two years of prompt therapy and five additional years of speech therapy. Unless you knew she had trouble with her speech, you wouldn't know she only had 20 words at age four. When she turned 16 she became frustrated with her annunciation and had jaw pain when talking for any length of time and when eating. We made an appointment with Cheryl expecting a routine course of speech therapy. Instead, on our first visit, we discovered she had a posterior tongue tie. We found a surgeon to perform the procedure, using a laser as Cheryl suggested. My daughter recovered quickly and was back at work talking to customers two days later. In the months after the surgery, Cheryl worked on strengthening my daughter's tongue, lips and mouth. She began speaking more and with less effort. She also started using more words. And, not only was her jaw pain gone, her neck and shoulder were relaxed and her posture was better. The pain she'd been in for so long was a distant memory. Less than six months later she graduated from speech for a second time, happier and healthier than ever before. Beyond the medical success, my daughter found a new trust in therapy through Cheryl who let her be a teenager while also pushing her to do her best.

I am a mother of 2 boys with autism. Both my children age 3 and 4 see Cheryl and she is amazing. Cheryl has been able to pull sounds out of the boys that nobody else has. She has an amazing rapport not only with my children but also with me as their mother. She takes the time to teach me how to help support them at home. She is patient with the boys especially when they are struggling and has the ability to calm them and help them reach their potential. She never gives up on them and always is there as a support for me. Her use of prompt speech and her immense knowledge working with children with autism and apraxia is second to none. I feel blessed to have found Cheryl and Manorville speech because I feel with her support and help I will hear “I love you” one day and a mother can never ask for anything more. I highly recommend.

Cheryl is truly amazing!! She has been working with my daughter for three months. My daughter had practically no letter sounds before working with Cheryl. She started responding immediately to therapy. She has now started learning some words. The important point that I would like to make is that before she started working with Cheryl, over Telehealth(due to covid) she worked with six other therapists IN PERSON over nine months and had no success. It is truly Cheryl‘s vast knowledge and her methodical approach that brings success to your child learning how to speak. She is also very patient, empathic and always has a smile on her face! I highly recommend Cheryl if your child is speech delayed. She is the very, very best!

I bring both of my daughters to work with Cheryl at Manorville Speech, one who does both speech and feeding therapy and the other just speech. I struggled to find a therapist that was comfortable to work with my daughter who has a feeding tube but Cheryl has made amazing progress! Any parent with a child who has a feeding tube knows it’s a long road ahead and a lot of patience but we’ve seen my daughter make great strides with both eating and speaking. As for my other daughter, she had minor issues with word pronunciation and after working with Cheryl now for a few months, we’ve really seen a difference. Manorville Speech has worked wonders with my son who was born with a bilateral cleft lip/palate! I cannot say enough about them! Courtney is one of the speech pathologists with Manorville speech who currently comes to my home to work directly with my son. He absolutely adores her & she is always so sweet & patient with him. His speech has improved significantly since i switched to Manorville Speech. The owner Cheryl has also come to my home on a few occasions to work with my son personally, you can tell that she truly cares about the progession of her clients! Would deff recommend 👍🏻👍🏻
