The tremendous and meticulous quality of care my daughter receives at MaxAbility, the professionalism, expertise, warmth, and kindness each and every Staff Member at MaxAbility exudes, particularly, Ms. Monroe, the Clinical Director, Ms. Moussa and Ms. Lee, the Scheduling and Billing Coordinators, Tabitha and Paige, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Kristin, Occupational Therapist, is beyond appreciated and noteworthy. Thank you MaxAbility for being an integral part of my daughter’s journey!
My 2 year old comes here every week for speech and they truly care and work wonders with him. He loves coming here!
unfortunately I’m having to update my review. While the staff here is very kind and means well, I am disappointed in the vast difference we’ve seen since switching providers. We had to switch to a different therapy clinic due to the gaps in care we experienced here at maxability. Within 1-2 months 5 therapists left maxability (jill, chris, maya, steve, cori) which left us with gaps in care and no back up options. We also had issues with not being told about cancellations, or being taken off of providers schedules with no notice. This happened 4 times, we would show up and be told we weren’t on the schedule that day anymore with no notice. Since starting all therapies at new clinics, my son has made more progress in a month than he did in a year at maxability. Speech here was just sitting on the floor playing with toys; no sign language, flash cards, talking devices. He could only say “mama” and could not identify letters or even try to talk. Now he can say many words or at least try to say them, knows 10+ signs, and can identify almost all of the alphabet on flash cards while matching. Feeding was just me feeding my son with no real input or suggestions from therapists. My son started at maxability in 08/2023 and was eating purees, when he left in 10/2024 he was still eating purees. Within a month at his new facility he is now on solids after being taught about molar placement, learning he has severe lip, tongue, and buccal ties (which was not caught at maxability) and our new feeding therapist coordinating with our pediatrician for a swallow study. OT here was not focused on fine motor skills, it was more so playing with toys that had large buttons or balls. My son could not point, pinch, pick up small objects, or place things in a container. Now he can do all of these things after a month at his new clinic. I don’t have anything bad to say about PT with Jill, she was amazing and I hope she’s doing well at her new facility. PT who would fill in would have my son watch shows on their phone or seem like they weren’t confident in what they were doing unfortunately. Part of this is my fault, as I did not realize how behind my son was getting or how therapy should be done to actually make a difference. It does make me sad to make this update because the people here do seem to care and are very kind, but the level of care is not where it should be to truly be beneficial.
Maxability has helped my children so much. Cori brought my son out of his shell so much with his OT. The relationship between the two of them is unbreakable. Tabby has helped my girls so much with their speech and they can never wait to come back and work with her. Maxability’s staff is like our second family, they always help when this single mom is in distress. Anytime I need an email sent to the school or need to snag Cori real quick they’re never turn a blind eye. This is the place to take your children who need some extra TLC, you’ll never be disappointed with the results or the love that comes from this office. Barb and Cheryl always have the answers when I call and I couldn’t be more grateful for them or any of the other staff 💚
MaxAbility has been nothing but amazing for my family. I have recommended them to plenty of friends and family. We have been through a couple of different speech and OT and have had nothing but good experiences with everyone.
My son sees both Hattie Gorman and Bailey Fulmer and they are both AMAZING! My son has progressed so much since being in Kid Ability and I'm beyond grateful to them. They genuinely care about helping my son and improving his cognitive skills and all skills that he needs to improve on as an eight-year-old. They have gone above and beyond by helping my son with other issues he is currently facing in life. I really don't have words to thank them enough for all that they do! A special Thank you to Hattie and Bailey and all the team at Kid Ability.
My three year old has a speech delay and has been seeing Bailey for almost a year now and has made SO much progress! He absolutely loves going to speech and get so excited when we pull in. She communicates very well after each session about what they did that day, what words he is getting, and what we can do at home to help him. I am so grateful for her and for Kid Ability being able to finally hear his cute little voice!
