Mc Cann Treatment Center

I was a resident at this facility for over a year The people are great, their system is not. I found it extremely hard to "phase up" as they call it. I ended up not even graduating the program due to aging-out. Unrealistic expectations & you're treated like a 5 year old the whole time, even for things that aren't your fault, the way their "Restriction" status works is bogus You can be doing the best you possibly can & someone else's mistake will cost YOU your fun, meaning that it doesn't matter if you're goody-2-shoes stan the whole time, if somebody else got consequences. So do YOU! On top of that i think they're potential 12-18 month residency is far too long, make it a more appropriate time frame, because most of the kids coming in here have probably already been away from home for a long time!, (I was in juvenile detention for a year before getting accepted into McCann, only to be disappointed because i was informed it'd only be around 6-8 months!), it's like they think the longer they keep a kid there, the less likely they are to Relapse, which is absolutely not true. Danny.I was by-far my favorite staff!, Stern and fair, yet also very comedic & uplifting. Not only that but taking on multiple roles at this Treatment center. And has been there since McCann first started. So yeah, it's not much but it's my honest review🫡
