Therapists were helpful but never stayed long enough to get to know them well. Liked Psychiatrists except Dr . David was very cold. She also had the rudeness to ask if I was wearing a pony tail extension in my hair. She never said it was pretty or anything. Exceedingly Rude! Also changed my dosage on a benzo of 31 years without telling me. Figured it out when withdrawal hit.Also said my Ginger Tumeric Lemon tea was causing my increased mania, not the withdrawal. Made complaint with LS and a Formal Complaint with my Insurance Co. Also, she does not like Gentiles. I am German.

i would give 0 stars if i could. i presented for a psych evaluation as a recommendation by my current psychiatric provider to get an opinion from a provider who has never met me before. these people did nothing to help me, used antiquated means of testing, discredited my experiences, and wrote horrifically offensive words in my report as if i was never going to read them. i’d imagine if i was any more fragile at that point i would have quite literally given up.

The doctor we work with Dr. P is amazing and caring all the way around! However, The billing practices at this facility are poor to say the least. My credit card was charged 80 dollars out of the blue without any explanation in the middle of a week when we had not even scheduled to be there. I called 3 times and left messages without any call back. I also sent a message through the patient portal and did not hear back from anyone. Avoid putting your credit card on file with a place like this as you may be fraudulently charged as I was.

I would only recommend going here for help if you're absolutely desperate with extremely limited options. Their receptionists are seemingly clueless -- they give out incorrect information and do not seem to care how that effects their patients. I've also been billed for appointments that never happened. They've done nothing to resolve these issues. This place caused more stress than they helped, so I'd give 0 stars if I could.

So.... I had an initial appointment with them at their Newark location... met with someone and they told me they would give me a call with who my psychiatrist would be and we could go from there. I NEVER received a follow up call. I was weary about seeing Psych any way so I never called them back either and this was about 1 year ago. Now, I tried to contact the Wilmington location for new patient paperwork for my child and have emailed a request for an intake form (like they say to do on their website) a few times over the last couple of weeks and still have not received any intake forms....

I brought my daughter here for ADHD testing. I have BCBS. When I contacted my insurance I was quoted $20 for any/all phycological testing and exams INCLUDING ADHD testing. Mid-Atlantic told me that my insurance does not cover educational testing and it would cost $600.00. I called around to a few other offices that had nothing good to say about Mid-Atlantic. I ended up scheduling with Dr. Thompson at Thriveworks in Newark. She confirmed that it's typically $20 with BCBS and she broke down all three steps in the process of testing. We had our third appointment with Mid-Atlantic yesterday... Each time we go in they ask us the same questions. Their office staff is highly unprofessional and uneducated. They're unsure why you're even there and even scheduled us for the wrong thing the first time.
