I sadly had to cancel all future appointments here today because of their policy to charge for a missed appointment. This was accidental after my family has committed countless sessions and dollars here. As the receptionist quoted policy like a robot with zero understanding or empathy, my feelings were really hurt because I made coming here twice a week for my daughter and I a priority for months despite an extremely hectic life and to make 1 mistake and be treated like some patient who doesn't care was shocking and painful. I guess I'm an idiot for thinking this practice cared about my family more than just a dollar sign. I also work in healthcare and would never do this to any of my patients who have emergencies that they have to cancel for or miss 1 appointment of 20 because they have an extremely hectic life and made a mistake, even though it is in my policy to charge as well. I know people are trying their best and I care more for our relationship and their well-being than the money they give me. The disrespect I felt from the receptionist's is an intolerance and judgment I want nowhere in my life. I treat others as I want to be treated and I see my patients as imperfect humans, not a paycheck. Quite a gut punch and disappointment, but thankful my practice doesn't stoop to this level for money from hardworking, committed families. Despite that I am eternally grateful to the therapists who healed my body. I pray when they have a private practice one day, they will choose to love their patients as I do. Feels a lot better than a check.

Midlands Therapy has been a great partner to work with in getting speech services for my toddlers. They are efficient, supportive, and my son warmed up quickly to Erin!
