Milwaukee County Wraparound

I'm sorry but I have to say it and whoever doesn't like it, just put up with it... This is the worst program that exists in the entire United States... My daughter's name is Janelys Falú and I do have your permission to write your name because all the psychiatrists have recommended us to the program to help her get out of the depression she's been experiencing due to the bullying she's experienced at school. But how? How can they help her??? Can someone explain to me if none of them are organized... I've never seen a program as disorganized as this one... They say they're going to have a meeting today and they don't show up... These people aren't qualified to work with minors who have mental health problems. How is it that they assign a girl as a mentor who doesn't even have the knowledge of health and is studying to be a dental assistant... Or is it that if we pull my daughter's teeth that's going to cure her depression??? Because then we're going to leave her without teeth... If you tell me 5 pm is 5 pm, don't arrive at 6:47 pm, where is the bathroom??? Because they told me they would help me find a new therapist for my daughter, and with my limited English, I went from place to place until I found a therapist because the help never arrived. Or do I have to wait a year after enrollment for them to help me??? But when they want me to sign the document stating the time they are with my daughter so they can get paid there if they arrive on time... What's the point of sitting in my living room writing down so many projects to do with her and help her find a job so she can have stability? And what's the point of the programs, like music therapy, art therapy, yoga therapy, where??? Where's the help because she was in the program for over a year and never appreciated the help. They just came to the house to meet so they could fill out the paperwork to get paid... I took her out of the program so she could qualify for other programs, and now we're back again, thinking that since they've changed and had several changes, the program would be worth it... Well, no... My daughter keeps trying to take her life because she feels alone from all the harm she has suffered and she is crying out for help and no one has been able to come and talk to her. If after enrollment Aja sign here we are going to meet we are going to do this we are going to do that… when???? What are you waiting for??? For my daughter to take her life to say we are sorry???? Noooo they are just stealing money from the government and yesss they are stealing that is called stealing because such help does not exist…. Don’t come to my house telling me oooo let’s put her in the CCF program or the FKK or 123 because I don’t understand that…. All I want is to see my daughter get out of that depression and be able to function like a normal person in the community!!!! For her to work and contribute benefits to those around her that is supposed to be the goal of the program or am I wrong????? But for you to come sit in my living room and have me sign a paper so you can get paid and show the government that you came to sit in my living room and made a plan with my daughter Nooooo….. I won’t sign anymore and I’ll take her out of the program because now they are worse than before….. aaaaaaaa but if I ask the government for money to eat there yes they tell me that I don’t qualify but to pay people who do nothing, who don’t help and just look for excuses there is money to give away…. No, well I want a job like that….. I’m tired and what had to be said was said and thank you so much that I won’t write your names….. I hope that other parents read this and better look for help from other mental health programs for their children because doing it for themselves will help them advance more….

This program not only saved our lives, but also helped us create a stronger family unit. Our team is knowledgeable, active, constantly reaching out & offering programs. I was very terrified initially & had already lost hope. They refused to let me give up & fostered all that I was doing correctly & then they train me on new strategies. IF someone on the team didn’t mesh well, I had the power to say so & request a new professional! You have to let them in (scary)& work the program & you will be SUCCESSFUL & 😃 HAPPY!!!

Where should I start? It’s a joke honestly. The “team” was horrible. One person on the team the therapist was new bless her heart she tried to do the best she could. She was the only one who listened and understood the importance of stability in my child’s life. She kept her appointment times and communicated if there was a change. But I didn’t see how her “therapy” was helping my son. The rest of the team would either make appointments they never showed up for, or not return calls or text. I wouldn’t suggest this program to any family that really needs real support. They got two stars because of the therapist. Otherwise 1 star would have been the best option.

They have helped me the best they can.

Wrap Around has been in our lives for three years. It is a waste of time. Care coordinators dont and wont follow through with a parent request. Crisis stabilizers never answer their phone. So you're better off finding other options to help your family.

I asked Wraparound milwaukee to remove a case manager (Britta Delger) from my daughter's case. I removed myself from her team until they could remove her due to my belief that she cannot help my daughter's case any longer. They have still not removed her from my daughter's case after 2 months. I now believe that Wraparound does not care about my daughter, or my family since they would allow a parent to remain off of the team. There are no charges of misconduct or wrong doing on my account, yet they still will not honor my request. I no longer have faith that Wraparound has the best interests of my daughter or family, and felt it necessary to report this on a public forum. A concerned parent.
