Receptionist is rude, If attending I would recommend speech therapist Izzy she was nice the last speech therapist i just didn’t get good connection not sure if she enjoyed her late work schedule
This people not professional they care just about money from insurance and then doesn't respect people with special need.
I am writing to detail an experience that was not only incredibly frustrating but also deeply disrespectful to both myself and my time. The staff, specifically Somalia and her supervisor, demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy. The issues began with Somalia. Before my son's scheduled therapy appointment, she instructed me to return home to complete a necessary pre-visit requirement (the 3rd step). I promptly followed her instructions and returned to the clinic, expecting to proceed. Astonishingly, upon my return, Somalia informed me that the appointment was canceled. She offered no satisfactory explanation as to why she hadn't informed me of the cancellation before sending me on an unnecessary trip home. This complete failure to communicate resulted in a significant and avoidable waste of my time, travel, and effort. When I tried to politely discuss this mistake with her, she was entirely dismissive, actively ignoring our attempts to speak to her and showing clear disregard for our frustration. Seeking resolution, I requested to speak to her supervisor. Unfortunately, the interaction with the supervisor was even worse. Rather than listening empathetically or addressing the employee's error, the supervisor seemed solely focused on defending Somalia's actions. She then spoke to me in an incredibly condescending and patronizing tone, essentially treating me as if I were a misbehaving child in a school setting, not a concerned client attempting to resolve a serious service failure. This manner of speaking was entirely unprofessional and disrespectful. A Note on Care for Special Needs Families This kind of treatment is especially unacceptable for the parents of a child with special needs. It takes extra effort, planning, and emotional energy to manage these appointments. To be met with such negligence, poor communication, and outright disrespect adds an enormous and unnecessary burden. We deserve, and expect, much better sensitivity and professionalism when seeking care for our children.
We were referred to Mission Hope via TEIS. My son was 26 months and only saying one or two words when he started. His therapist, Miss. Haley changed our lives. My son, who isn’t super open to strangers was willingly running into her office each week. He went from saying a few words to saying over 100+ words and tons of phrases. She and the staff at Mission Hope met my son right where he was. They made him feel valued and loved. We are moving on only because our school schedule won’t permit us to go anymore. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to get rid of us. Thank you, Haley for all that you do. Thank you Jordan and the staff for pouring into the lives of our children. We are blessed to have had you!
Went today for my son’s speech evaluation and the lady we seen was the absolute sweetest and understanding. My little one got over stimulated and decided he wanted be a terror and even though I wanted to cry she never made me feel judged. All staff I interacted with were nice and friendly.
My son is thriving here thanks to Ms. Casey and Ms. Ansley. They are so sweet, and make my son feel safe and comfortable which is so important to me. I love seeing him go back there with a big smile and knowing he’s in good care! I love how they’re both so thorough on talking to me after the sessions and letting me be involved in knowing his progress etc. I’m so thankful for these two! All that to say, I definitely recommend Mission Hope!
Very grateful for the therapists at Mission Hope. My daughter absolutely loves coming here and we have seen growth in her speech and language skills.
My 2 year old son has been going for more than 7 months. Staff has always valued my time by always being on time and being flexible to fit my schedule. My son loves going and I saw improvement within the first month we came. They allowed my input on his speech goals and they gave me resources to help on most visits. Highly recommend
My son had been going here for over 2 years. He is about to start kindergarten. I wouldn't know where we'd be without the patience, care, and attention that these specialists gave him. He was able to make leaps and bounds in his ability to communicate and handle day to day tasks. For those worried parent(s) that think, "How can I possibly handle this?", "No one knows my child like I do?" "Who will be in my child's corner like I am?" These people at Mission Hope are amazing! They respectfully approached us with concerns that my son may be on the spectrum, which was something my wife and I had suspected already. I greatly recommend Miss Kenzie for OT and Miss Quinn for Speech. The only negative experience I ever had was the typical insurance playing their usual games, making thing difficult for you. But I recommend learning the specifics of what your insurance will cover concerning these services. I am so immensely grateful for the help and progress they made with my child. I have seen children of many backgrounds and different needs, be welcomed here. I hope you have the same experience we have had. Thank you again, Kenzie, Quinn, and Mission Hope!
