Horrible place, the staff is very abusive. Mentally, verbally and I wouldn't be surprised if physical as well. They scolled and take personal items away from their residents for soiling themselves or their beds. They scream at them for not taking off their own soiled sheets. Sad to hear the screams of the residents asking for their stuffed animals ect all because they had accident! Managment doesn't care one bit!
Having my sister with MDSC has been the biggest blessing to our family. The staff loves her and takes care of her as if she was their own sister and they pay such good attention to her needs and any health issues she experiences. We have learned so much more about her since she moved in just from the expertise of the staff and their knowledge of people with disabilities. Crystal is phenomenal and so is the rest of the staff there. Thank you MDSC!
My son is receiving kind, thoughtful care at MDSC. His staff is compassionate. They investigate immediately when there is a behavior and look for triggers and issues of consistency and routine that may have contributed. The house manager is actively concerned about the well-being of her staff as well as the residents. They involve other professionals as needs arise. We feel blessed to have this level of care just 15 minutes from our home.
