Mitten State Pediatric Therapy

My 6 year old daughter has been going to “the Mitten” for 3 years for OT and PT. We are now adding feeding therapy to her plan. They have a lot of therapists who have all been so wonderful! With my daughter. They are accommodating with tricky schedules with very little wait time. My daughter smiles every time we are walking in, knowing her therapy is a fun place to learn and grow. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I absolutely love Mitten State Pediatric Therapy! My medically complex daughter has been coming here for OT, PT, and feeding therapy since she was just six months old, and the difference these therapists have made in her life — and ours — is incredible. The entire team is compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in every child’s success. They truly see the whole child — strengths, challenges, personality and all — and meet her exactly where she’s at. They celebrate every milestone right along with us, and continue to push her growth in the gentlest, most encouraging way. We leave every session feeling supported, heard, and hopeful. As a parent navigating complex medical needs, that level of care and expertise means more than words can say. I am so grateful for the love, guidance, and skill this team brings to her therapy journey. Mitten State Pediatric Therapy is a gift — and I cannot recommend them enough!

We came here for physical therapy with Ms Beth! We’ve had a great experience. My son is quite shy with new people, but he took to Beth right away. We have been seeing her after he had a few fractures to his leg and she really leans into his interests and motivations to help guide therapy to improve his strength and mobility. Thankful for Mitten State! 💜

As a seasoned "therapy Mom" of more than 8 years now, our daughter has done therapy at just about every facility in the area. We followed Elle (OT) to Mitten State from the big name facility in GR where we never had the greatest experiences with other therapies; We have also had PT there, as well as feeding therapy for my youngest daughter. We have been seeing Elle for 7 out of our daughter's 8 years and we cannot recommend her enough! She is experienced and knowledgeable but, just as importantly in my opinion, she is kind, nurturing, and fun with the kids. She will spend time outside of work thinking of ways to help your child and truly cares about her patients. The PT at Mitten State is excellent for younger kiddos, and Mandy (whom our youngest saw for feeding issues) is also incredibly kind, playful, and knowledgeable from both a behavioral and structural/functional standpoint. In fact, everyone you encounter at Mitten State is smiling and kind/welcoming, often knowing my children whom they have never personally seen before. It's a tight-knit therapy center and you can feel like a part of their "family" when you go there. I highly recommend Mitten State to anyone seeking therapies for their children!

We have been going here for about a year now and 2 of my children receive speech therapy here. We love Miss Cam! She is so great with the kids and makes speech so fun for them where they want to keep coming back! She always gives me great feedback after every session and even gives me worksheets and practice items for home! Lindsay, one of the owners, has also been super helpful, friendly and had great communication when I was getting my children scheduled to start.

We love OT at Mitten State!

Since coming to Mitten from another large, well known facility, I have seen a huge improvement in my daughter! I honestly don’t know where we would be if we hadn’t made the switch. Mandi & Jen have been so helpful and we love them so much! Everyone there is wonderful, and I can’t recommend Mitten enough!

If your infant is under three months old and has issues with feeding from a bottle, and you are coming here for help, this might not be the right place for your baby. We went here and were continuously told there was nothing we could work on and that hopefully our infant would just grow out of her feeding issues. Unfortunately, she did not grow out of these feeding difficulties. We ended up seeking an occupational feeding therapist elsewhere, and within three weeks of working with them and trying different strategies, we were able to get our baby to eat from a bottle without struggling.

Took my son and my daughter here for therapy. The environment is friendly and welcoming and my kids got great care.

My daughter had VitalStim therapy with both Lisa and Lindsey. We are very impressed with their professionalism but also how easy going they are. Very friendly and almost felt like family. Although for the 2x a week for weeks we had therapy, i would hope that would be the case when you spend that much time with someone. The center is very clean, bright and welcoming for children! I definitely recommend!
