Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
I want to start by saying that my therapist, Vanessa, was absolutely wonderful. She is hands down the best therapist I have ever had. I truly started to make progress in my life with her help, and my family and friends could see the positive changes I was making. She was kind, attentive, and made therapy a place I genuinely looked forward to each week. If this review were based on her alone, it would easily be five stars. Unfortunately, what ruined my experience with MJA Behavioral Health and Wellness was not the therapy itself, but the office that runs behind it. As a young adult navigating insurance and healthcare, I tried to do everything right, I provided my insurance information, I asked questions to make sure I was covered, and I trusted the process. Despite this, the office repeatedly attempted to charge my card on file even when insurance was supposed to cover my sessions. The lack of communication and clarity was constant, and it left me feeling stressed and uneasy, the exact opposite of what therapy is meant to provide. They were attempting to also charge me no show fees which is ILLEGAL to do to Medicaid Patients. And I hope their contract is revoked At times, it felt like the office cared more about money than patient well-being. Instead of focusing on my mental health, I found myself constantly worried about billing issues and whether I was going to be overcharged or blindsided by unexpected fees. The disorganization and poor communication made me feel like I was being taken advantage of, almost to the point of feeling scammed. It is heartbreaking to have such a great therapist working under an office that operates this way. Vanessa deserves recognition for the incredible work she does, but the administrative side of this practice is so unprofessional that I cannot recommend MJA Behavioral Health and Wellness as a whole. If you’re considering care here, know that while the therapy may be excellent, the office behind it may leave you frustrated, stressed, and disappointed.
They have been nothing short of amazing. Super accommodating, respectful, understanding and have wonderful staff - both office staff and providers. They have been thoughtful and helpful throughout. Highly recommend them.
Did not help with our son who was having issues in fact caused more trouble. I do not recommend this practice. Took way too long to get an appointment with someone that would be able to prescribe meds. Someone once told me counselors are like shoes you have to keep trying till you find a good fit. Definitely not a good fit.
My family has been utilizing the services of MJA Behavioral Health and Wellness for over a year now, specifically for our child, and our experience has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment you step into their office space, you're greeted with a sense of calm and warmth that immediately puts you at ease. One of the standout features of MJA Behavioral Health and Wellness is their inviting office space. It's thoughtfully designed, with comfortable seating areas and a soothing ambiance that fosters a sense of relaxation. The attention to detail in creating a welcoming environment truly sets the stage for productive therapy sessions. One aspect that has been particularly beneficial for our child is the inclusion of a play therapy room. This dedicated space allows children to express themselves and work through their emotions in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them. It's been incredibly reassuring to know that our child has access to such a specialized area that caters to their needs. 10/10 will always recommend!
I highly recommend MJA Behavioral health. I've been doing sessions with Nicole M for a few months now, and she's great. The therapy doesn't feel scripted like some other therapists and she really caters the session and listens to you. Also, Mandy the receptionist is super nice. There was a little conflict with my insurance where it ended up being that they couldn't cover my sessions, but Mandy was able to work with me to find me a solution to be able to continue with them - excellent customer service and extremely accommodating. I will recommend to others.
