Was called the a few hours after a “missed appointment” and was given attitude.. I attempted to explain that I cancelled the appointment due to my child being sick and was told the provider would call to reschedule and it never happened. A member their scheduled and appointment for me and didn’t call to confirm nor notify me that an appointment was made. After explaining this to the office manager she continued to blame me and give me attitude as if it was my fault that they were being dishonest. She then went on to talk over me multiple times and was extremely nasty. The staff also aren’t very patient with children .. will be seeing if I can be referred elsewhere.

This facility and all the therapists here are a Godsend! My daughter has been going for almost a year and within 3 months everyone around her has noticed her progress and willingness to meet new people. Ms. Courtney has become new best friend, thank you to all the hard working women there!

We can’t give these therapist enough stars! They go above and beyond to accommodate all without any patient feeling rushed. They are understanding and super knowledgeable. For the last almost 4yrs with them for my son has been a rewarding experience as well as major improvement for him in Speech & OT! He has his tough days but they also handle those very well. We could not be happier!

I do not recommend this place some of the staff and the director have awful attitudes and i do believe at times that they forget that they are working with kids with a disability.😢👎🏾

Erin and Hope are the only reason I still bring my son here. Hope is always so nice and friendly no matter the pressure she’s under and always willing to help. Now Erin! Bless her heart because she is so patient with my son and as his mother I know my baby can be a hand full. My son has autism spectrum disorder, speech delay, developmental delay and he’s a great runner! Every week without fail we get a note from his school about his jumping ship and running to see his old teacher down the hall or outside because he feels he didn’t get enough recess. Erin has learned his tactics to keep him in line and I love it. The only problem with the office I’ve had is not an employee issue it’s a company issue. They can’t keep a OT therapist for nothing. However no company in this city can, we’re on so many different waitlists it’s ridiculous which is why my family plans on moving to a place with more resources for our autistic son. We’ll miss these ladies tho❤️

I've been taking my son here since March 2023. He has made amazing progress. I get him evaluated often by different companies and facilities and they are always impressed by what he has learned from receiving services here. Not only have they helped my son but they have taught me a lot. His therapist is Miss Courtney and she is the BEST! 😊

Where do I begin. Multidisciplinary Therapy has been nothing short of amazing!! The environment is peaceful, and child friendly!! I highly recommend this office, for any persons needing extra assistance, and guidance in Speech Therapy, as well as Physical therapy. Your child will make amazing progress due to having clinicians/therapist who care and see beyond the disability.

I would definitely not recommend “Multidisciplinary Therapy” on Taylor St. in Columbia, SC to any parents who has a child with Autism. I am writing this review to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the handling of my son, during his recent therapy session at your facility on Taylor Street on last Thursday, August 29th. My son is autistic, and the events that transpired during and after his session have left me feeling that your staff is inadequately trained to handle children with disabilities. Your company is a speech therapy company for children with disabilities, key word DISABILITIES. However beyond the speech, y’all do understand these kids have some other issues. Each speech session isn’t going to always be the same. No your company is not a behavior therapy place however, some children with disabilities are hyperactive and some have other issues, that does not change the fact that they need speech therapy. You can’t just focus on speech with children that have disabilities and not have an open mind about anything else. During my son last session, I was told my son became active and ran around the facility and into some of the other rooms getting into some of the things he saw. Although a therapist attempted to stop him, he was able to get away and run out of the front door. This door, shockingly, had no locks or safety measures in place to prevent such an incident. My son could have easily ran into traffic, posing a serious risk to his safety. Thankfully, this did not happen, but the lack of basic safety precautions is alarming. Adding to my concern, today I received a phone call from one of the head directors who handle company issues. She informed me that my son would not be allowed to attend therapy for a whole month due to the incident. The tone of the conversation was nonchalant, and there was a complete lack of empathy or understanding of my son’s disability. This is particularly troubling, given that communication and support are vital in ensuring the well-being and progress of children like my son. I believe that there were multiple failures in this situation: 1. **Lack of Safety Measures:** The absence of locks or other safety precautions on the front door is a significant oversight, especially in a facility that serves children with disabilities. 2. **Poor Communication:** The response from one of the directors regarding the incident and the subsequent suspension of therapy was handled insensitively, without consideration of my son's needs. 3. **Inadequate Training:** It appears that the staff may not be adequately trained to handle children with autism, which raises concerns about the overall safety and effectiveness of the therapy provided. I expect a prompt response to this complaint, including an explanation of the actions your facility will take to address these concerns. Specifically, I would like to know what measures will be implemented to ensure that such a safety breach does not occur again, I’m sure my son wasn’t the first to have done this and want be the last because again that’s what some child with disabilities do at times, if they could help it they would not need the extra help from your company or any of the other special needs companies, and last I would appreciate a apology it’s 1 thing to be trying to assist a child with a disability but it’s completely different when you actually have a child with a disability. Understand that I am prepared to escalate this complaint to relevant regulatory bodies if necessary. I am a parent who cares I’m also a parent who is a voice for children with autism and disabilities. I was told my son could come back next month, I’ve already asked for him to be discharged from your company. My son will not have therapy sessions at a place that does not care about him, his feelings, his parent feelings or children with disabilities…
