My entire family are patients here, and Dr. Michael Baniewicz is phenomenal. He truly understands us—lol—and that is rare. We are autistic, and this place is truly an oasis for people with autism.

I received diagnosis of autism for my child and also had Ava evaluation done months ago and just last week I was told they don’t offer services due to my zip code. Was told I’d be receiving a call back 2 weeks ago still nothing. As a mother this is simply disheartening and completely UNPROFESSIONAL. Diagnos a kid that your office can’t service due to zip code. Not county but zip code. Service is definitely dissatisfying and a child has been shuffled around with no help

As a grandparent to a nonverbal child, and Mother of a child who's child has autism, I can not in good faith recommend this facility to you and your family. This has been going on for some time now where my daughter has been trying to advocate for her child to keep the services that she so desperately needs. For any parent who has a child with autism, you certainly know how important it is for them to keep ABA services or if not the child will regress. Our children deserve the chance in this world to be successful. The BCBA Christina has been trying to discharge my grandchild for the last 6 months and they are referring her to an ABA program, when in fact they offer the same services. Make it make sense? Why discharge her from this program only to recommend that she be in the same type of program that you offer. I asked my daughter to try to escalate this and she was not heard. She also tried to have it escalated to her superior Lydia Farmer Clinical Senior Manager and nothing was done, they basically brushed her off. It's really sad that now we are in fear of my grandchild regressing from a program she so desperately needs. Please think twice when bringing your child here to have services. Will they brush you off when they get tired of offering services to your child? We are truly saddened by this.

Without it, she risks losing the skills she’s fought so hard to gain. Yet when the topic of discharge arose, I was met with cold finality. I was told there would be no appeal, no further conversation. I was not treated like a parent — I was treated like a bystander. That kind of disregard is heartbreaking. Every child with a disability deserves care that is compassionate, individualized, and respectful. And every parent deserves to be heard — not silenced. I urge other families to look elsewhere for ABA services. Our children deserve better. They deserve people who will fight with them and for them, not walk away when it's most convenient.

After returning from a summer vacation, my children were abruptly discharged from their ABA therapy sessions. The reasoning provided seemed flimsy and unconvincing. It became apparent that the decision was influenced by the fact that our family would be relocating to another state in a few months. It appeared that the clinic decided to discharge our children to free up space for other clients who could provide long-term business. While I understand the practicalities of running a business, especially in healthcare, the way in which our children were discharged lacked compassion and proper consideration for their ongoing needs. ABA therapy is crucial for children like mine, and the abrupt discontinuation without adequate notice or discussion left us scrambling to find alternative arrangements. Moreover, the administrative process surrounding the discharge was cumbersome and added unnecessary stress. I was tasked with chasing down written orders and dealing with bureaucratic hurdles mere days before the discharge was to take effect. In summary, while NeurAbilities Healthcare may have competent therapists and resources, the manner in which our family was treated in this transition period was highly disappointing. Families with special needs children rely heavily on consistent and reliable support systems, and unfortunately, NeurAbilities Healthcare fell short in this regard. I hope that this feedback can encourage the clinic to reconsider their discharge policies and improve their communication and support for families facing similar situations in the future.

Families rely on healthcare providers like NeurAbilities to provide stability and support, especially for vulnerable children who require ongoing therapy. In summary, while NeurAbilities Healthcare may have expertise in ABA therapy, their approach to patient care and family support fell short in our case. I hope they reconsider their discharge policies and strive to improve communication and empathy towards families in similar situations in the future.
