Them: I’m truly sorry you feel that way, I have apologized for inconvenience and I noted your account not to run until you call us. They pulled my debit card without any notice or warning. At the most inconvenient time when I was out of work for my uncles death of cancer. I have multiple texts of going back on their word of pulling the card when I called them. Then the next payment turned to harassment of them reporting me to collections within 48 hours. And their only response was we got to do whatever we can to protect the buisness. Even after they told me not to worry about the 100$ just pay it when I can. The therapist was okay but the buisness all together is more about your money than actually helping you at all. I highly recommend finding another place to get help.
I needed a specific evaluation done and was scheduled for something completely different. I made sure to communicate to the receptionist the specific need for my appointment and she even understood me, so I thought. But still managed schedule the wrong thing. The definition of “you had one job”. I am now out of pocket for the wrong service/care and will need to wait for another appointment date for the right care. I hope this person can schedule the right appointments for the patient’s sake. When communicating my issue with staff, I was informed that one lady has been there over 15 years and the other was new. New or old, if you’re scheduling appointments for PATIENTS you need to schedule the right thing. Terrible experience, I don’t recommend.
This place is a prime example of why many people never seek help. My first appointment was canceled one day prior and rescheduled three weeks out. The first therapist told me about her brutal sexual assaults within the first two sessions. This could have been a botched attempt to build rapport or minimize the emotion associated with my trauma. Either way, it was highly inappropriate to provide such detail about sexual assault to a NEW client. She even tried to cancel the second session within 45 minutes of the appointment time. I never seen her again. I was told she was no longer with the practice after two sessions and then assigned to another Therapist. I had to wait another month before being seen again. Upon arrival at the third appointment, the new therapist tells me she couldn't gather anything other than "I'm sad" from the notes taken by the previous therapist. I literally discussed childhood trauma and narcissistic abuse with her. That was a sucker punch. Why open up if nobody is taking you serious enough to write it down? During the third session, the therapist scolds me when I voiced being uncomfortable with having ADHD. She said "it's because your looking at it as a weakness instead of focusing on your strengths". She starts to list off strengths that include not falling into addiction like my parents. This is after I told her I smoke weed before work, on lunch and at night. There is nothing glamorous about having ADHD, it is literally a weakness to lack control of your attention. There is nothing wrong with validating someone and then encouraging them to look at their strenghts. Never asked if I was being treated for ADHD either. She downplayed grooming because it's an innocent thing in small towns and it happened to her. If a man is waiting for a child to grow up so he can be with her, that is grooming, period! She also told me" I'm looking up shit" when I told her I was concerned about having borderline personality disorder. We both have PCOS, so she knows this is a common issue with women like us. You should applaud someone when they're being proactive. After all of this, I'm told to slow down the weed consumption and journal, without a single writing prompt. Why is there no treatment plan? Why is this an aimless conversation each session? Why are you not asking thought provoking questions? Use that degree! I can look up how to meditate and journal on Google. Keep your personal stories/feelings at home and show up with the desire to help people. Stop looking for a payday from people who are seeking help. This is the darkside of therapy that no one is talking about on social media. The worst part is, these people know how trauma effects the brain and they're making it worse! Make sure you research and vet your therapist! Make sure you know what you need and ask how they're going to help you achieve your goals!
My experience has been amazing! Mandy in the front office is a saving grace for managing my payments that work for my pay schedule and keeping up with all of my document requests. Kirby has been a great partner on my journey to understanding my mind. Grateful to have genuinely kind and understanding people support me on my toughest days.
They do not honor insurance benefits appropriately. I’ve been overpaying and cannot get them to return calls and repay what has been overpaid to them. Be mindful of charges as it is a struggle to get refunded.
The front office staff exhibits a lack of professionalism, often coming across as rude and dismissive. Additionally, they appear to become frustrated when patients seek to verify their insurance balances. This behavior can create an uncomfortable experience for individuals seeking assistance.
Rosa has been nothing but warm, kind and empathetic towards me since our first session. She is a great listener, while also making sure to summarize what she is hearing from me and offering helpful suggestions pertinent to my personal situation. She is open-minded, positive and encouraging with her counseling techniques. I am very grateful to have found her.
