New Heights Pediatric Therapy, LLC

We were referred to New Heights by another mom who's son attends the one in Lexington. She was happy with the services provided to them and suggested we try the facility. I'm glad we did!

New Heights has been a wonderful resource for my son! From the first phone call to inquire about enrolling we were helped each step of the way. My son sees Ms. Madison for speech and has made great improvements with his oral motor skills. She has provided education to me in how I can help my son at home and sends us home with activities we can do. She shows a true interest in my son's and our family's goals! I want to say Thank you for being a part of my son's life!

Alexa and Adrienne have helped my boy grow in his abilities and are always giving helpful tips to help him at home. I could recommend New heights more!

New Heights is the worse when it comes to therapy all because of the owner Chelsi West she is not friendly and very prejudice. First issue was with insurance now a current issue with her calling DSS for nothing oh it’s because she wants to get all the black kids out of therapy & be surround by all white kids (her kind) but Chelsi you are messing with the wrong person when it comes to there child. But you got your wish as granted, we will take our child somewhere else for therapy where he’s wanted.

I would be careful when choosing New Heights as the therapy company that you want working with your child. I only say this because the owner of the New heights location on meeting street named Chelsea West is very unprofessional and will not admit if she has done something wrong. I don’t usually throw people under the bus like this, but I feel as thought it’s my obligation to do so now, so hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Long story short, there was some confusion with my work insurance, however my daughter also had Medicaid and baby net. Everyone knows that if you are under baby net you shouldn’t get charged out of pocket for any services. Well I was made to believe that in order for my daughter to continue to receive their services then I have to pay for her sessions with my money until everything with insurance got straightened out. Of course I trusted what they were telling me and had no reason to feel like they would give me false information so I went with it. Come to find out the right people came across this information and stood up for me and helped me to also understand how all of that stuff works and verified that my own money should’ve never left my pockets to go to New Heights. The staff seem great especially Adrienn (OT), however the new owner Chelsea West has really taken a lot of us (well I should really only speak for myself), so I’ll say really taken ME by surprise with her poor communication skills and blatant lack of empathy for the client’s family as a whole. She clearly needs to take classes or really do some deep self reflection on learning how to take accountability for her actions. I hope no one ever has to go through what my daughter and I are going through when it comes to this company. Not to mention, we are still waiting on our $1200.00 reimbursement check. Seems to be all in New Heights Pediatric Therapy/Chelsea West’s timing at this point!

My son Lucien started speech therapy at NHPT at the beginning of February. They really make the entire process; from intake, to the assessment, the diagnosis and figuring out what their individual needs are and discussing the treatment plan. I felt very reassured being able to sit in on his assessment, they make sure you are apart of the entire process and that everyone is on the same page. At no point have a I ever felt in the dark or confused about his diagnosis, plan of care and long term goals. All of his sessions are on the same day and time every week, so scheduling is never a hassle. They have really made this as easy as possible. It’s very obvious to me that it’s important to them to build and maintain good relationships with parents so we can work together for our children’s goals and overall improvement. I feel like you don’t see high standards of care very often anymore, where your child isn’t just another patient number, and providers truly get to know the person they’re working with. I believe my sob is receiving individualized care and I don’t fear he will fall through the cracks. The therapists here truly care and you can tell they enjoy working with children. I was nervous, thinking I would feel like I needed to be there for very session. But once he started his sessions, I felt extremely at ease with Alexa and Lucien took to her immediately, and I felt very comfortable and relieved that he was in good hands. His therapist Alexa is very kind and professional. She’s very accessible as far as communication, she’s also very personable and easy to talk to. I also appreciate that she’s very honest about how he does during his sessions so we know what to work on at home. She’s gotten to know some of his personality enough to let me know when she thinks he might be having an off day. Even in the short amount of time they have been working with him, everyone in our family can tell a difference in his speech. His vocabulary is growing and it’s easier to understand him. Lucien is always excited when he knows we’re going to see Miss Alexa, which made me happy from the start because sometimes he can be very shy. I was also very pleasantly surprised when I saw on their social media page during Heart month, they posted information about the connection between children with CHD, and developmental delays. It gave me even more comfort knowing he was in the right place since he was born with Tetralogy of Fallot and it absolutely impacted certain things with him developmentally. The other employees I’ve had contact there are always friendly and it’s a very bright, clean and warm environment. Their system for scheduling and records is very user friendly. I would absolutely recommend NHPT to any parent and have nothing but great things to say about them. I can’t wait to see how he continues to progress and I’m confident he will reach the goals they have for him! You guys rock! Thanks for all you do!
