I would like to express my concerns regarding the professionalism of the staff, particularly LCSW Liz. During her sessions with my son, she engaged in conversations that seemed more suited to a casual setting, discussing topics such as rock bands and personal anecdotes from events like Woodstock. Given my son's age of 10, he was unable to relate to these references, which detracted from the therapeutic experience. Additionally, while Liz emphasized the importance of building a rapport over several months, my son continues to express disbelief at her approach as a therapist, indicating a lack of professionalism in her conduct. Furthermore, I have observed a trend among the staff that seems focused on legal protection rather than genuine care for the patients. In their documentation, there seems to be a tendency to portray parents in an unflattering light, which raises concerns about transparency and accountability. I urge future clients to be cautious about what they share in these sessions and to consider the potential implications of being overly candid in hopes of receiving support for their children.

This center does not provide services needed for special needs kids. I was basically given false information since the intake interview and the Westbury center mislead me for months making me think that they could help my son with his social skills and coping skills. They assigned someone who clearly did not have the experience and the knowledge to handle my sons case. They cashed in on months and months of counseling session with no improvement and after numerous requests by me to see if there was something else that could be done, I was told they did not have services that could help us out. Very upset and definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. ALSO SUPERVISOR WHO AWARE OF MY REQUESTS FOR MONTHS NEVER BOTHERED REACHING OUT TO ME WITH AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS HAPPENED

Because of the incessant bullying of my poor daughter we needed to find an outside therapist. This group was highly recommended and I have to say that they are great. My daughter has been getting the help she needed, and I went to war with her school district about how they have been incompetent, didn't take my daughter's safety seriously, and write up no reports. I was told they can't investigate the cyberbulling because it was off school grounds. This is what I've been dealing with.
