Not Your Everyday Therapy Services

To give some back story, I have a sweet boy that is almost 7 years old. He was diagnosed with ASD at 2. We immediately signed up for therapy centers with incredibly long waitlists. We began early intervention and waited. We got into a place, just to be turned away. This continued to happen 3 times over the course of 4 years, we had 8 SLP’s and 4 OT’s in 2 years at another local center. Honestly I was exhausted, desperate, and on the verge of giving up on therapy and was ready to figure it out on my own. That’s when I found NETS. Within a few hours of calling, we had our intake paperwork. Within a few weeks, we had our evaluation. And within a few months, we started therapy! I can’t tell you the joy I felt. The team at NETS have been kind, compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable at every step of the way. I left every appointment leading up to therapy, feeling confident and excited for our future. I toured the center and immediately was impressed. The time, thought, and intention it took to build such an inviting and safe space was noticeable right away. It was clean, organized, and the quality of toys/equipment far exceeded other places we’d been too. The team had a way of easing our nerves and we were so excited to start. Everyone is so friendly and positive. Michael is so genuine and knowledgeable. You can tell he cares about every child as if they were his own! Our SLP, BCBA’s, and RBTs are all angels and we adore them. I know that every single one of them love our family right back! NETS has been a huge blessing. My son is communicating more, staying regulated for longer, finding better coping mechanisms. I know that he’s not only taught, and looked after but truly cared for. I appreciate having access to daily notes, goals and even getting picture updates! Our team also helps me. I feel more confident after every parent training. They answer any question or concerns without hesitation. Always ready to share their knowledge and experience. I truly believe we went through so many trials and centers, to get to NETS. This is where we were meant to be and I just know your family will feel the same way! I couldn’t recommend this therapy family more!

We have known Mr. Michael for almost ten years, and our son has been attending NETS for some time now. Mr. Michael is an amazing person who truly cares about families and works hard to make sure they receive excellent services and are well informed about what the community has to offer. The team provides high-quality speech, occupational therapy, and ABA services in a supportive environment. We are so grateful for the care and support our family has received at NETS.

Michael and his team are really the best at what they do. They've helped us so much as a family and have become a family to us as well. They are always so skilled, enthusiastic and positive about their work and has helped my son tremendously. Communication is top notch with daily reports on top of regular texts, calls, and monthly parent meetings. They treat my son with so much patience and sincerity. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to entrust the care of my child to. They have worked with me countless times to get services that we needed and are constantly educating us about options, techniques and ways to advocate. I will always brag about them because they hold such a special place in our journey.

Some of the best therapists with TRUE collaboration. No one discipline takes precedence over another. These guys work hard to make sure your child gets the full array of services that will truly benefit them! Even better, they have ethical billing practices that make sense. A whole-child, true team approach to ensure progress, which is different for everyone.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. From forceful holds from the men in the clinic, to unethical business practices, to asking patients for cash under the table… They are not honest. We also found insurance fraud when we received our final records. I would stay very far away!

I don’t know the last time I wrote a review, but I came to do it for this team. When our pediatrician at Bethany Children’s recommended NYETS after some pretty unsettling care we’d received elsewhere, I’ll be honest, I rolled my eyes and didn’t plan on looking into it. She promised she’d seen them in person with some of her patients, but they didn’t have exactly what we needed listed on the website, so I called them out of desperation to ask if they could refer me to anywhere else that could accommodate our needs. I was immediately impressed by how helpful they were even when they thought we wouldn’t and up as clients. I could tell even the office manager truly cared about us and offered to pass our info along to Michael to see if he could help in any way. Instead, they ended up working out a way to serve our family’s unique needs. I am so impressed with everyone I’ve encountered there. Our BCBA, Kelsi, is the first ABA provider who has written compassionate and developmentally appropriate goals, while also taking our family culture and limitations into account. I would go as far as to say I am anti-ABA in general, but NYETS is one of very few ABA centers in the metro that is doing phenomenal work. I don’t even usually recommend places for therapy, doctors, etc because it’s so case-specific, but I can say I’d recommend them hands down. I could go on forever, but meeting this team who truly are client-centered and love our kids truly restored my sense of hope for the future of my family.
