Nurture Speech and Feeding Therapy

My family worked with Jordan at Nurture Speech and Feeding. Jordan is an amazing speech therapist. My daughter had difficulty with articulation, most prominent initially with ST blends, and Jordan made the experience so much fun for her. She was able to be flexible with times and locations, sometimes even joining my daughter at her school for sessions. When we had to relocate apartments to the UES for the summer, Jordan even trekked across the park to keep up the momentum. At one point she realized that my daughter was getting annoyed with therapy, and we took a break. She then followed up on the agreed upon time to re-evaluate and resume services. My son also loved Jordan, though he was not the intended recipient of her sessions, but she is so warm and engaging that I got it. She even answered my paranoid questions thoughtfully and without judgment when my youngest child wasn't babbling like I thought he should (which was ultimately fine). My daughter is now caught up to appropriate age on her speech. I can't recommend Jordan and Nurture enough.

Jordan's personal and client-first approach successfully helped our 8 month old daughter grow and develop into a blossoming toddler by teaching her instrumental life skills: chewing, swallowing, and speech. Jordan is a dedicated therapist and we are forever grateful for her expertise and compassion to our family.

Jordan worked with with our son from when he was around 26 months until he was nearly 3. He was only slightly speech delayed, but was getting frustrated because he wasn't able to communicate effectively. Jordan made weekly home visits, which was very convenient for is. She is amazing with kids and is very positive, engaging, and enthusiastic. Our son loved his sessions with her! Now he speaks much more clearly and is an active participant in conversations around him. We are so happy we found Jordan!

My two-year-old daughter had some speech delays and difficulty pronouncing words. We were given Nurture Speech and Feeding Therapy's information through a friend and have been working with Jordan for over six months with tremendous success. My daughter tends to be very quiet around adults that are not her family, but Jordan has the special ability to make her feel comfortable and at ease. When my daughter resists trying a new word or sound, Jordan knows exactly how to encourage her to try-- this has made all the difference in her interest in speaking. Jordan knows how to make the learning process fun and approachable for children. My daughter loves Jordan and literally runs to the door every time we have a session. As a parent, I greatly appreciate Jordan's guidance for me as well. Once our session is done, I have a better understanding of ways to assist my daughter with appropriate cues and tips to continue improving her speech. I feel so grateful we found Nurture Speech and Feeding Therapy and have the privilege to work with Jordan.

Jordan is an incredible and extremely effective speech therapist! She started working with our one year old son (who is now two) with his speech development and after less than a year he is very verbal and hitting all of his expected milestones. We're so happy with the progress he's made. We found Jordan after working with several SLPs who weren't able to engage with our son, they were very passive using things flashcards to try get him to speak and were all soft spoken. Jordan was quite the opposite! She had high energy, was kind and comforting. She brought a lot of enthusiam and incorporated fun play with our son to engage with him in every session and modeled words for him which ultimately made him want to model her and engage. She also suggested exercises to work on with our son during the week to make her sessions more productive. Our son loves Jordan and we are sad we no longer need to work with her.

From the moment we met Jordan, it was clear that she had a genuine passion for helping children with speech issues. She was always reliable and punctual, making sure to show up on time for every appointment. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and my daughter looked forward to every session with her. Jordan was incredibly engaging and patient, taking the time to get to know my daughter and understand her unique needs. She created a personalized plan for her that was both challenging and fun, and my daughter made significant progress in a short amount of time. What impressed me most was her professionalism. She was always respectful and courteous, and she maintained clear and open communication with me throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable and confident, and she gave me tools and strategies to use at home to reinforce what was learned in therapy. Overall, I cannot recommend Jordan enough. She is a true professional who clearly cares about the well-being and success of her clients. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, energetic, engaging, and professional, she is the perfect choice.
