You can't imagine a better environment to sit and talk to the best therapist around. It's not a Doctors office, it's a very pleasant enjoyable place. Don't let the church infront by the road confuse you, just keep going... that got me the first time.

We have been so blessed by Okerberg counseling. They have helped us set personal goals and family goals. We received very solid advice about how to deal with tricky relationships. After a few years of carrying out this advice, we have reaped the benefits. The counselors are knowledgeable and excellent communicators. They are also willing to think outside the box to help individuals and families who may need something a little different.

I cannot express how much Melinda has helped me off and on through the last 9 years! I have seen her for marriage counseling as well as individual. In person and through telemedicine. She gives an honest answer even when it’s hard to hear. She has a wonderful heart of truthfulness and empathy. Her desire is to help the whole family even in an individual situation. If you are looking for Godly counseling look no farther, she is a gift!

My wife and I were referred to this practice to help ease trauma and provide transition for our daughter's reintroduction with bio dad. (after 3 years of no contact) Never in my life have I experienced such a lack of professionalism and communication. The history of our daughter and initial session, Melinda had with the perpetrator's mother! Not the child, or either parent. Someone who had, and never has had, any legal or custodial rights to this minor child. Other professionals in this field have confirmed that communication to be a direct violation of our child's confidentiality. Melinda also set forth a timeline for treatment that included transition for our child. Then immediately attempted to do the EXACT opposite of what she originally said. When asked by our attorney why she took this approach, Melinda told her she needed to be getting paid! (this wasn't a real concern as bio dad was to cover this process) We understand the need for compensation. Regardless, in this field of work, your priority needs to be advocating for the child! Not getting hung up on who is paying the bill. It was clear our child's well-being was not her priority. Our attorney was disgusted and stated she will never recommend her. Fast forward 8 months and we are getting billed for a single phone conversation regarding the child's treatment plan! Yet no other communication was ever responded to. It has truly been an eye opening and sad experience.

The Acreage has been the saving grace in my life. I started recieving sessions here in 2018 during the lowest point in my life and this place and the people there helped me get through it. I have seen 3 different therapists there during the last 3yrs and every single one has been amazing. I struggled through over a decade of seeing different therapists that didn't help at all and many that made my mental health worse. That all changed the day I met Melinda, I connected with her and felt safe with her the very first session. She has helped me in more ways than I can count and I have become such a different and better person since meeting her. I still have weekly sessions with her and I can go in and be in such a dark place and by the time I leave I feel such peace within. She has changed my life. The fact that I'm working with horses is such a added bonus. I was always curious about equine therapy and now participating in it I can see how helpful it can be to people who struggle with not only mental health issues but also physical health issues. I would not be where I am today without the help of this amazing place.
