We are incredibly grateful for the work that Laura, our occupational therapist, has done for our son. She helped guide him from a place of frustration and feeling stuck to making real progress—and not just for him, but for us as parents too. Laura’s approach goes beyond traditional therapy. She coaches both the kids and the parents, offering practical tools and heartfelt encouragement to help process emotions and challenges. She's been a true advocate in our corner—cheering us on, recognizing our growth, and reminding us how far we've come. Her generosity with her time, her uplifting perspective, and her ability to make therapy fun and engaging have made all the difference. Our son looks forward to every session, and we’ve seen his confidence grow as Laura consistently meets him where he is and celebrates every step forward. We can’t recommend Laura highly enough—she’s a remarkable therapist and a genuinely caring person who has had a lasting impact on our family.
Miss Laura is an amazing OT and person. You can tell that this is not just her work. It is her vocation. She is highly skilled, compassionate, thoughtful, and an excellent communicator. We (and perhaps more importantly, our child) love working with her.
My daughter loves coming here! She is always so excited to come and do the work. Ms. Laura is proffesional, inovative and every session has something new to try. We are coming here for a year and half and we see a lot of improvement. We highly recommend Mrs Laura!!
My son has been going to Laura for about 1.5 years and this is his absolute favorite class among his weekly schedule of classes (up to 5/week at one point). You can tell that she loves kids and puts in the efforts to take care and improve any aspects of your child. She is such a giver and always takes her time to go through all of her plans which usually means we go over the 1 hour session time. If you're looking for an occupational therapist, she is the one.
My daughter has SPD & anxiety and my son has SPD & ADHD, so my children have been seeing Mrs. Laura for a few years and they love their weekly visits! Mrs. Laura is sweet, funny, flexible, patient, attentive, and knowledgeable in helping meet the needs of both my kids. She is very structured, but changes her plans on the fly based off of where the kids are at on the particular week/day/moment. She not only helped my kids as they struggled mentally and emotionally with the toll of the pandemic, she helped support my husband and I through the crazy time. Mrs. Laura is one of our greatest assets in helping reinforce and teach the kids coping strategies, humbleness, perseverance, gratitude, patience, kindness, understanding, positivity, and a growth mindset. Every encounter, whether it’s a tool or strategy, Mrs. Laura always has a takeaway for the kids to work on at home to help them reinforce what they’ve learned to help them grow and succeed. Week after week, she meets the kids’ mental, physical, and emotional needs of that particular week and gives them tools to succeed not only in school, but in life. She is truly amazing and has been a great role model in my kids’ lives. It takes a village to raise a well rounded child and we are lucky to have Mrs. Laura as one of our villagers. I highly recommend Mrs. Laura OT to be part of your village…you will not be disappointed!
