Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness

I received an email letting me know my case had been closed. No explanation as to why because I don't even have a follow up with my psychiatrist for med check until March. I feel that they pick and choose who they want to continue to see. I am on medications that are way to risky to runout of, but I promise this I'm going to get to the bottom of it

The self pay pricing is obscene.

If they would allow a -5 star review it still would not describe the lack in compassion or servitude this big corporation provides. A mental health facility that has a zero tolerance policy for being late or unable to make the appointment. If this issue is so dominant that they require a committee to pick off and deny service to the most at risk patients trying to get help for their mental illness. Their no appointment and walk-in required for the first interaction is a definite 2-6 hour process leaving someone who obviously desperate if they make the mistake of choosing their "compassionate care" facility. They lack any provision that would be considered beneficial for mental health stability, starting with the appointment to see a psychiatrist for medicine, by initiating a phone call with a 10 minute advisory script you are required to acknowledge saying you know you will be tested for ANY illicite drugs PRIOR to them agreeing to prescribe medicine. I am a supporter of being proactive for time efficiency, at the dentist, for a hair appointment, even for a check up with my primary care physician; but their approach to treating mentally unwell people is the recipe for a catastrophic mental breakdown or worse. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE, EVER.

Misty Cox is the biggest joke of a therapist I've ever witnessed. You'd be better off talking to a tree. Therapy is definitely not her calling.

Thankful for all the staff and program.

They do excellent with my daughter she comes home everyday excited to tell me what she has done that day the staff are really helpful and the therapy they offer really helps no only my daughter but also me as a parent to better understand why she feels a certain way about things If I could I would give this a 20 start rating

I love the Climb program and so does my child awesome teachers ❤️ they've helped my child in more ways then I can put into words! Thank you for being my child's home away from home!

My son has used Ouachita Behavioral Health since back when they were CCS over on Grand avenue. That is 22 years. They have always been great, we've had a couple different doctors as they leave to do other jobs. They've all done a wonderful job helping us with his autism and behaviors, modifying the medications as needed, always available to help. I highly recommend this Clinic
