The therapist did not practice the skill of listening to understand, and rather started googling things on her laptop when I was mid sentence after only 10 minutes of meeting. By the time I left this office, I felt unheard and misunderstood. It was a waste of time and money, and I felt worse coming out of it than going into it because of the disrespectful way she treated me. Not only did she not listen when I was speaking, but she did not ask helpful open-ended questions to try to get an understanding. I would describe her behavior as more similar to a well-meaning receptionist at a social work office than a therapist e.g. “well, did you even try this?” I didn’t go in for advice or problem solving, I went in for grief counseling after the loss of a child. Her Google searches were to obtain to community agencies, which I had already submitted application applications to and not what I needed counseling for. Had she listened to me there would not have been an idea to do a Google search. It made me feel very alone in the world and took away the motivation to try to get help

Slight edit. Sarah Schmitz changed my life with her style of therapy. Always, always went to bat for me... but there was not much she could do. Highly advise seeing her if available. Front office ladies are amazing, friendly, and very accommodating. The prescribing “doctors” aren’t actual MD’s and don’t work full-time so you will deal with grumpy on-call nurses. Don’t ever lose your medication by accident or make a mistake- you will be perceived as a drug abuser and you will go serious withdrawal... which could lead to many bad things like seizures, job loss, family issues, etc. Find an actual Pysch and pay for it, even if you can barely afford it. Your brain, life, job, family are very important- the prescribing doctors do not give a hoot about those things. One star for the front office workers, one star for the counselor, and one star for the nurses that have to go with what they're told to do by upper management (the NP's who have a complexity). They've always been very sweet and kind to me.

This place does not drug test their interns, watch out!!!

The front desk ladies are amazing and I love Andrea. However, Kelly and the other prescribing nurses act rather passive aggressive, smug and dont like to make exceptions. They cut off my antidepressants because I couldn't make it to a couple of my appointments due to being homeless, having no car and a lack of reliable phone service for zoom appointments. I have already spoken with them about this with them and they just don't seem to care. Now I have to deal with hellish withdrawal symptoms! Thank you pathways, you have made my problems worse!

You would think people working in this type of services would have more people skills but the nurse (Kelly?) was incredibly rude, passive aggressive, condescending and smug. Knowing a patient is at their mercy and treating them this way is unreal. Told me to go an ER after abruptly ending healthcare with me.

I had a positive visit. Danielle made me feel absolutely comfortable to share private, intimate details about my personal life, lol. I had a situation where I only needed one session, but I would have felt more than comfortable to return, if needed.
