Dr. Gordon is great, he did a thorough evaluation of my son and was very kind, but I really wish he'd get new staff in that office. They are extremely nasty and difficult for no reason other then it seems they hate their jobs.
The doctor and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Initial interaction is very positive. I will update after my next three visits
Dr. Gordon was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a pleasant experience.
Dr. Gordon, Leanne, and Isabella are all absolutely wonderful! They’re warm, easy to talk to, and have been teaching me incredibly helpful skills that are truly supporting my recovery after a traumatic accident. The reception staff is also very kind and responds to my inquiries promptly and professionally.
I had a great experience with Dr. Gordon. He was very helpful, took the time to listen to my concerns, and explained everything clearly. I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the visit. Highly recommend!
I accompanied my cousin who was being tested for ADD to the appointments at the Toms River location. Surprisingly, the environment at Pathways was not very welcoming for a mental health practice; I see friendlier service at retail stores. There was no greeting upon entering the waiting room during any of the visits, and one of the providers just looked my cousin up and down without saying anything when he saw him. However, all staff members were polite in their direct interactions. Robyn, the receptionist at the time, was very nice to accommodate my cousin with a paper assessment after Dr. Gordon said this could not necessarily be accommodated since such things are generally done electronically in the present day. Where does that leave those who can’t use a computer or have no support for completing online tasks? Although Dr. Gordon was courteous during both evaluation sessions, I did not find him to be personable. Moreover, there was no option for an in-person appointment with him. Basically, he only works four days per week and provides no in-person service to people in a setting which is in the business of addressing psychological concerns. According to his staff, Dr. Gordon does not come to the Toms River location; he just has an office there. After taking four days leave time from work and allowing Dr. Gordon to financially profit from him, my cousin was told test results were inconclusive and recommended retesting along with cognitive therapy. The final evaluation was in mid-April of 2025 and there has been no follow-up call from the office as of this writing on June 5. I strongly advise seeking out another option, even if it requires traveling a greater distance or longer wait time.
I joined my mother's first virtual appointment recently with Dr. Gordon to evaluate several months of issues she's had since a heart procedure in January. In preparation for this session, I provided all requested background info, it was obvious that he reviewed all of it prior to this appointment. His questions were very relevant to my mother's unique situation, and were presented in a way that was completely understandable to her. The staff did a great job communicating with me and explaining everything leading up to our first contact with Dr Gordon. He effectively communicated next steps and gave us hope for finally getting definitely diagnostic results. We are looking forward to completing the testing he's suggesting asap.
