Pediatric Therapy Center of NJ (Occupational & Speech)

My son has been coming here for a few months and we are already seeing tremendous progress with him at home and school. He can sit at the table to eat all his meals now rather than needing the high chair. He is using his coping skills and able to tell us his feelings. He is also helping to clean up his toys at home. We have implemented some of the therapists suggestions at home which have been helpful. I am so happy to have found this facility. My son loves going to OT and the therapists and Carissa are so kind and caring. If your child is in need of OT, look no further. The facility is clean as well and children learn through play.

My daughter’s pediatrician recommended that we look into Occupational Therapy for some of the sensory challenges my 6‑year‑old daughter was experiencing. I called several OT practices, but many did not take our insurance. Luckily, Pediatric Therapy Center did. During the evaluation paperwork, I was able to discuss not only her sensory needs but also some of the reading and writing challenges she was having at school. The therapists have been amazing with my daughter, and I’ve already seen real improvements in both her reading and writing. After each session, they take the time to explain what they worked on and the progress she’s making, which I truly appreciate. After a few weeks, I decided to get a head start on some fine motor concerns I was noticing with my 4‑year‑old son. Carrissa has been incredibly accommodating in scheduling appointments so both of my children can attend at the same time—one session in Cedar Grove and another in Clifton each week. Both of my children genuinely look forward to going to OT. Their teachers have even commented on the improvements they’re seeing in the classroom. We are so grateful for all the support, care, and dedication from the entire team.

My son started therapy in October of 2025 for his handwriting. He’s in first grade but was still writing like he’s started kindergarten. Now he’s writing like a first grader! His letters are straighter; he can write inside the lined paper, and he’s learning so much about patience, sharing, and focusing. His therapists are absolutely INCREDIBLE (Laura and Samantha). He feels like he can be himself with both of them. We still have a ways to go but his confidence has grown so much in this short amount of time and he actually wants to do writing assignments now! I couldn’t thank this center enough for everything they do not only for my son but for all the kids to at go there: the kids always leave with big smiles!

I started bringing my 2 year old to Performance Pediatrics about 2-3 months ago and they are amazing! He is in OT for sensory issues & speech because he wasn't speaking much. He is already talking so much more and is regulating himself and much more agile! My favorite part is that their theory is kids learn through play so my son has a blast, but he is learning so much each time! The staff are so kind and knowledgeable and my son is very picky who he gets attached to and he absolutely loves everyone he works with! He mostly works with Melissa for OT, Kaitlyn and Maura for speech, he is already forming relationships with them and looks forward to going each time! I highly recommend this place for your kiddos!

Pediatric Therapy Center of NJ (Occupational & Speech) was such a huge help for my daughter, Korra. Her dad and I were very worried about how difficult it was to understand her when she spoke, but our insurance was delayed and not going through. Instead of waiting—unsure if it would take six months or even a year—we decided to pay cash so she could be evaluated and start treatment right away. Honestly, this decision made such a difference. Korra advanced so much in her speech during that time, and we’re so grateful we didn’t wait. She loved every minute with her therapist, and the care and support she received were amazing. I would absolutely recommend this facility to other families.

We had a great experience. Contacting and communicating was a breeze. The facility is well maintained and clean. Scheduling is very flexible. The team members are great. They’re warm, kind, and friendly. My child looked forward to going to his appointment each week. The therapy was done in a fun way so it made it enjoyable. His therapist did a great job connecting with him. I’m very satisfied with the outcome and if we ever need Occupational Therapy again this is where we would go.

We are incredibly grateful to have found the Pediatric Therapy center of NJ. From the very first evaluation, they made my child feel safe, understood, and comfortable. They have a magical way of making 'hard skills' feel exactly like play, so my child actually looks forward to going to sessions every week. The patience and creativity they bring to every appointment is unmatched. Since starting OT, we have seen a massive improvement in my child’s confidence and their ability to handle new tasks. I also appreciate how well they explain the 'why' behind every activity to us parents. The clinic environment is warm, welcoming, and perfectly equipped for kids of all needs. Therapists are not just skilled clinically, but also deeply compassionate and kind. The progress we’ve made in the last 4 months has exceeded our expectations. They have been an absolute blessing for our family. I highly recommend them to any parent looking for a dedicated therapist for their child.
