The health care provider that saw me didn't help me because she said that she couldn't do anything because she would be liable if anything went wrong. They are more interested in sending patients to someone else. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL
I love PCHS and everything it has offered. But my recent visit with Abigail Jorgenson was interesting. I went I. There seeking Chantix for quitting g smoking for the third time. Each time I had quit close to a year and the last time I switched to vaping which turned out to be a bad choice. She tried telling me what my quitting experience was gonna be like from the very beginning. I explained to her I have quit twice before with Chantix and it works every time. She told me I need a quit date. I told her based on my experience twice before that is not how it works. It was when Chantix started working for me that I decided to quit. She disagreed with me and was adamant I needed a quit date. I don't see how "needing" a quit date dictates the actual date I am going to quit on. She gave me no words of inspiration and didn't listen to a word I had to say about the last two times I had quit. By the way, since the first time using Chantix I have not started smoking cigarettes again. She didn't even consider that. She was just kind of conceited and acted like it was her way or the highway and that my previous experience didnt matter as she didnt even inquire about that. It really adds to the already existing stigma surrounding smoking. I know I need to quit, why do you think I am there. It was like a punishment even though I am there on my own accord. I expect more from health professionals
Since moving back to the peninsula my daughter and I come here for care, the same day clinic has been a great addition to all the many other services we receive with PCHS, including our dental! Great staff, physicians and providers!
I went to a Drs appointment last week and they didn’t even call to cancel it. Then rescheduled for this week. Go in today and I told them I been working with mouse poop while moving and because I had any symptoms of covid, which if you look it up they are the exact symptoms, they wouldn’t let me be seen and this was the second week in a row that they did this to means I had important things I needed to be looked into. Evidently even though they are a doctors office you have to be completely healthy to be seen! Ridiculous!
