Pocatello Children's Clinic

We’ve been going to Pocatello Children’s Clinic for almost 5 years. We mainly see Dr. Larsen, who is fabulous, but every doctor we’ve seen here is great. Dr. Larsen caught my sons Kawasaki disease almost right after entering the room and got us to the hospital quickly. His nurse, Hailey, is also so kind and caring. She’s great with my kids and helps them feel relaxed. I have to give a special shout out to the phlebotomist, Celestia. A couple of our kids have had to have blood draws multiple times over the years. Our experience with Celestia has been amazing. She is AMAZING with the kids. Gets them distracted, fantastic quick poke, knows just the right time to do it, helps them stay calm, and helps parents feel calm during the process as well. I will legit call ahead to see if Celestia is working before we get our labs drawn. Absolutely amazing person and great at her job. In all, I highly recommend Pocatello Children’s Clinic.

my daughter has had a nasty cough and was up puking from coughing so hard, i made an appointment with a doctor here and a medical student. the medical student said she heard wheezing but the doctor didn’t and said my child was fine to return to school, I get a call from my child’s teacher stating that my daughter couldn’t breathe and was turning colors and i needed to get there as soon as possible. i took her straight to a separate doctor who actually took the time out of their day to do testing and my child has RSV and now has exposed other kids in her class. thankfully someone finally took the time to run tests and do something for her. don’t take your kids here they treat it as if it’s an urgent care and just get them in and out with no testing don’t waste your time or risk your kids health.

I took my 16 month old baby in for an urgent same-day appointment , she had been fevering for at least 5 days , dealing with a very bad virus, and we saw Dr. Yost. I was very impressed with his knowledge expertise and his process of elimination when diagnosing her and it gave me so much reassurance as a mother. I was worried my daughter was becoming very dehydrated and she was going to need an IV for some fluids. He gave me some great advice on Up-to-date information about supplementation and I felt that we were on the same page and our views aligned about health and wellness.

If I could give less then one star I would, my daughter has had extreme eczema since she was 2 months old, they told me it was baby acne, well now at 3 years old it’s so bad her fingers are bleeding cracked and she’s in a constant state of itchy, so today I called trying to get a healthy connection so I could get a second opinion, the “care coordinator” was extremely rude, disrespectful tried to make me feel less then like I didn’t know what I was talking about! I completely switched providers now due to the disrespect and the way she talked to me. All I am trying to do is figure out a way to relieve some of my daughter’s pain. I just wanted a second opinion. The “care coordinator” was completely out of line. Never going there again!

Dr. Summerill and his nurses are so beyond incredible. He treats our son like his own and is so caring and talks us through any questions or concerns we have. He doesn't just take care of our baby though, he always stops to make sure us, the parents are doing okay and is so empathetic. I couldn't be happier to have such a great team to care for my son.

I would highly recommend this clinic for all of your children’s needs. Not only do they listen to my concerns with my son but they are always so excited to see him and they are always so good with him. I personally am never recognized at my doctor and I always have to remind them of everything. That is not the case with Pocatello children’s clinic. They recognize him every single time. And they always try to make our experience enjoyable and let me tell you they succeed. My son is never upset when going there and he LOVES his doctor
