My son has made so much progress with this ABA company! The therapists are caring, patient, and really take the time to understand him. They’ve been such a blessing to our family — I’m so thankful for all they do!

Although there were pros and cons to working with PBS I would highly suggest passing by this company and working with a different one, if the option is available to you. They need a better screening process to ensure they are hiring more professional providers. I found lack of professionalism to be an issue with more than one person I worked with through this company. They also consistently neglected to address the specific behavioral issues I was requesting them to work on with my daughter. Since there is a word limit, I am not able to go properly expound on the pros and cons but in the end the cons out weighed the pros and I feel there was a lot more progress that could have been made had there been a better process within the company to oversee their employees.

*1-Star Review* Terrible experience with Positive Behavior Supports! They seem to prioritize their own convenience over the well-being of the children they serve. Inconsistent and unreliable, with no clear standards or protocols in place. Their operational methods raise serious concerns about ethics. My daughter's experience has been particularly distressing. She's gone without essential services for months, with no proactive communication from the company. Despite repeated requests, I've been unable to get in touch with anyone above her BCBA. As a result, my child has regressed significantly. The lack of planning, unresponsiveness to emails, and eventual case closure due to caseload issues without adequate support are inexcusable. This company has failed my child, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you value your child's progress, look elsewhere. Issues with staff call-outs, lack of notification, and no backup support for children who rely on consistency only add to the disappointment. Please choose a different company if your child needs consistent help and care. Update: the issue was resolved! Although it took months to happen. I am happy with the team my daughter has now and I'm happy that it reached who it needed to reach so that my daughter could get the help she needs and deserves. My child's new BCBA and therapist are amazing.

After reading the latest reviews, I now realize I’m not the only parent left waiting for a follow-up after submitting medical records and insurance information through the parent portal. Their website clearly states that families will receive a phone call within two business days after the initial contact—yet it’s been nearly three weeks. I’ve left multiple voicemails and sent emails to various staff members, with no response. If the clinic is experiencing a shortage of therapists or RBTs, that should be transparently communicated on their website or social media. Families deserve timely updates so they can make informed decisions and seek support elsewhere if needed. Our children’s care and progress shouldn’t be delayed due to poor communication.

Let me just say, this place really needs to work on communication within and out of this company. I finally received services in May 2023, waiting for 3 years on the waitlist. We have gone thru 3 behavioral analysts to my recollection since with this company. When services were first started at the end of the school year May 2023 we got a few sessions months done. As the new school year 24-25 approached it was time for his recertification. forms were filled out and eventually it was denied. The analyst at that time tried to request for a peer to peer, but ended up getting a phone call regarding the explanation of the denial. From there she told me i had to do the appeal with the insurance company. I didnt understand why I had to do it since they had the information even though she provided some of the details with me. I work in healthcare and if there is a denial I do the appeal, not my patient unless all options have been exhausted on my end. So 12/2023 i called my sons insurance company to file the appeal. was told it could take up to 45 days. i checked back 1/5/24 and was told it could extend up to 60 calendar days, but no update. followed up again 1/22/24 and was told they system was having issues and asked if he could call back . he called back 2 hours later stating no appeal was found or a denial. emailed his therapist. didnt hear back. texted her on 1/29/24, 1/31/24, and 2/5/24. heard back same day 2/5/24 stating she would f/u. didnt get back until 2/12 as she was waiting for her supervisor. was then told i had to call eq health about denial. was told i have to call the state for a fair hearing. called the state for said hearing and then before i even had the hearing, EQ health overturned their denial out of the blue. continued with services for a month or so, then an family emergency happened. Due to the situation of the emergency I didn't know how long she would be gone. The company never contacted me about it. I honestly can't remember if i contacted them about this or not. The analyst was gone for a month or 2 and services continued for the most part with some delays in scheduling on both our parts. Then the analyst went on maternity leave. Which again no one contacted me about this for a temporary analyst. So i contacted them trying to figure out what was going to happen or the plan. It took several emails and calls to a few people just to get an answer. I even got a phone call eventually from someone named Alex and told him my frustrations with the company. He apologized and said he would talk about these issues at their next meeting. Now eventually we were placed with a temporary analyst who i had a good feeling about. We had one session then it was a little while till the next as my sons original analyst came back. I requested to be switched to the temporary analyst as I had a better feeling about him and my son took well with him compared to the other. It took maybe a month to get it switched. Now i am having issues with this analyst trying to get services for my son. I had to cancel 1 or 2 sessions. The analyst has also been sick, twice to my knowledge. But i don't seem to get contacted about rescheduling. I as the client shouldn't always have to reach out trying to get something setup for these services. It is beyond ridiculous. At this point i am just done with this company. I always try to play devils advocate as i work in health care but i am also a patient/client. I try to understand both sides. But this is just the worst. Would never recommend this company to anyone!!! I fought since my son was 3 years old BACK IN 2018 for his diagnosis and getting him all the help he needs to end up with no SUPPORT from this company! I am done giving chances with them The only person in this company i had anything nice to say about it Elizabeth Greene as she is the only one who responds to my emails in a timely fashion and tries to help as best as she can. Tells me who she is forwarded messages to.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with a behavioral therapist from PBS Corp assigned to work with my autistic son. After a home session, the therapist accidentally left me a two-minute voicemail in which she made inappropriate and unprofessional comments about me and my home, and speculation that I “might have ADHD.” She also called my kitchen “weird.” These were not clinical observations—they were judgmental, mocking, and entirely outside the scope of a therapeutic relationship. As a parent trusting this company to support my child, this breach of professionalism and basic respect was extremely hurtful and completely unacceptable. I’ve reported the incident to PBS Corp and to the Illinois Department of Financial and they apologized for the incident and offered to switch therapist which I refused because we lost trust in the company and their policies. Parents deserve to feel safe and respected in their own homes—especially when inviting professionals in to support their children’s care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here

Terrible communication, I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. I have been waiting 7 weeks for an in home person to come and work with my child (which means they have low staff for a reason) and then I get my first bill today and it says the BCBA worked with us 7 times and charged us for an hour each day when he only came to my house once to do a 1 hour evaluation! Such a money scam!!!! never have I dealt with this before!

I've been working with this company for over a year now. The BCBA's have been easy to work with. The RBT's have developed wonderful relationships with the kiddos and family. They communicate well and work hard to attend sessions whenever scheduled. If the RBT is sick the BCBA tries hard to cover all or part of the scheduled time. The therapists all seem professional and knowledgeable. If the RBT isn't sure they find out from their BCBA.I recommend PBS.

Id like to say we had an rbt for about a year and today was her last day with us. Elizabeth T. She started out great but got to comfortable here. She was always late to sessions. Ive had to remind her and give her feedback because she messed up alot. She was rude, left me rude text messages. She is not consistant with scheduling. Lack of professionalism. Very distracted when shes supposed to be here working with my child , forced my child to say things on her device. Not saying she would be this way to everyone but to our family she was. We are getting a new tech and im very excited!. Need more info im here. Our bcba we have had she has been so amazing our family and my child loves being around her:).
