Before going to PSJ I abused alcohol and other substances daily for 10 years. As my addiction progressed so did suicidal thoughts. Eventually I attempted suicide and by the grace of God I failed and was sent by ambulance to PSJ hospital. After being stabilized with therapy and medication I went to PHP where I truly received the help I needed to recover my life. Little by little I learned many new skills to heal from past trauma and addiction. I learned my core values and was able to set goals, I began the process of healing and moving forward in my life. Where I am today could not have been achieved without the very caring and very trustworthy support of the staff at PHP. They were genuine in the care for me. Professional is an understatement. From the amazing gals at reception to the facilitators, nurses, LACs, therapists, drivers, and the staff at Prairie housing. PHP is the place where if you or a loved one wants to heal and recover their life it will happen. I have been to 6 different treatment facilities in the past and they do not compare to the outstanding care I received at PHP. Huge shout out to Josh the director of outpatient services, Monaya the lead supportive housing technician, Peder and Chelsea my therapists, Dawn and Karla my LACs, and the amazing staff at housing, Nick, Malachi, Derrick, Erin, and Becky. Thank you ALL so much! Absolutely 5 stars and much love!

I was able to get the help I needed besides just one incident where a male patient slammed a door in my face

This place is the biggest joke.DO NOT bring your family members here if they are struggling my family member was put on a 72hr hold and released before the 72hrs when asked to talk to the doctor they said the doct would call me they never did. My family members records for the er were sent over incomplete and not once did the reach out to get the full record instead my family member was released without even seeing the ER record please protect your loved ones and do not bring them here if they need care

This was nearly Hell on earth. I was mistreated, put to shame, and taken for granted. Dr. Trochclear seemed "offended" one morning when I said to him, "Go to hell."

Adult PHP and IOP are very good. The information that is provided is helpful and practical. I do believe it all depends on your attitude as well for this program to make an impact.
