I’ve been a patient of Hopewell for about 5 years now. The office staff is very courteous. The medical assistant that does your vitals, drug test, etc as well as takes you back to the room to see the doctor is always nice and well mannered. My doctor always listens to me and any problems that may be going on in my life at the time and she always expresses concern for whatever I may be talking to her about. I am completely satisfied with this place and the level of care I have always been given. I’m not going to disclose my doctors name but I do recommend Hopewell Place to anyone that is interested in receiving care for their mental health.
I must say., Gale MacAllister is such sn understanding soul. She approached my situation with an open ear. Her understanding and professional nature and knowledge stands out as a practitioner. Her assessment of my medical issues, she approached with careful care and took the time to listen and engage with me to get a unique perspective which is rear these days. I'm very satisfied and blessed I'm her patient. So I highly recommend Prestera's Hurricane facility. David Harracksingh
Definitely lacks professionalism. I usually do get my meds though because I don’t leave messages on the refill line. I leave a message at the office. They changed psychos on me and I’m not sure about this one yet. I think the problem begins way up on the ladder. And that is the main problem. There’s no one capable to begin fixing the problems. I’m pretty sure it’s run by the state somehow and that right there is the root of ALL the problems. What a shock. Right?
We’ve been attending here for 2 years, the first year and a half was fine. Then I had a doctor change, and was supposed to be scheduled with a new one, this never ended up happening. It got to the point where I needed a refill on my medication so badly we had to beg for a refill. Thankfully I got a refill. That was in April. Radio silence from them, the never set me up with a new doctor, and because of this I have to go in as a “new patient” and go through all the hoops again just to get my medication I am prescribed, what a waste of time. If you plan on going here proceed with caution, they might do this to you too.
My daughter has been a patient of Prestera Center for over 10 years. The customer service of this office is lacking promptness. My daughter is on a controlled substance, so the refill must be called in every month on the refill line. Almost every month she has to leave multiple messages to the office because the medication refill is not taken care of. She has ADHD and must have her medication daily. In these instances of no refill and no call backs, she suffers mentally due to the incompetence of the staff or leadership of this office. Maybe it's because they have too many patients, not really sure. My daughter is a college graduate, works full time and needs her medication daily to aid in her attention disorder, without this medication she suffers. Again, Leadership is at blame of this type of service.
