Honestly, I have to review this clinic because I KNOW the distress of waiting so long for an appointment while handling the difficulties of a special needs child… I have to admit that my wait was worth it so far. I had my daughter’s first appointment and I’m very please with Dr. Cobb! She is very attentive, patient, & kind. The wait is long to get your first visit, but once you’re in, it’s totally worth it!! Front desk is friendly & Dr. Cobb is amazing! THANK YOU. So far my best experience at a prisma facility & I hope it continues that way!!
My son has been on the waitlist almost a year. I call once a month and they tell me the same thing it’s going to be a year+ before he is seen! Its ridiculous.
I have heard great things about this practice and the providers. Unfortunately for us we may never know. I completed and turned in all paper work august 11, 2022, it is now September 13, 2023 and we still do not have an appointment or any idea of when we will even have an appt. I had to pull my 4 yr old for preschool because he was struggling so bad and without any diagnosis he can’t get an IEP to help him.
Mrs Walsh is a very sweet lady. My daughter love her.
Dr Cobb and Sarah are cool and I give dr Cobb a nose squish
As the other parents have stated, you can expect to wait 7-8 months to get an appointment here, and that is unacceptable. When your child is suffering daily and is even suicidal at times, you can't afford to wait 8 months. If your child had cancer you wouldn't wait 8 months to see a doctor. I'm going to call my insurance company to try to find help elsewhere. ***Update*** It's been 5 months and I still haven't even received initial paperwork to fill out and no one has called about making an appointment.
Our two youngest sons both see Dr. Cobb. The staff is always wonderful and Dr. Cobb is absolutely amazing. They have been instrumental in helping with them. This office is exactly what you need when seeking a doctor for your child with special needs.
I am having an almost identical experience. We have been waiting on paperwork for over a month. I have called to make sure it was sent, and they will not even return my calls. It's very frustrating because this is a highly recommended group and do a great job if you can actually get in to see anyone.
We received a referral 3 weeks ago for my 7 year old to confirm a learning disability. We were told it would be another 4-6 weeks before we received paperwork (that we still haven't recieved) we need to complete and send back, then another 4-6 MONTHS before we would have an appointment. While all this is dragging on, my daughter is STRUGGLING in school. Every incomplete assignment and failed quiz weighs heavier on her mental health and growing disdain for school in general. Don't waste your time with this group, they are obviously too busy already. We are currently seeking a different facility to diagnose our child so she can get the help she so desperately needs.
Tell us what you're looking for and ABA Navigator will help connect your family with care.
