I’m really glad that we came to this place for my teen daughter. Will be returning for myself. Such nice and laid-back staff made it very easy for her to speak. Very thorough appointment. With a very thorough and detailed report without being to confusing mailed to you we were there Monday and have the report already, 3 days later. Don’t be skeptical because you don’t see a website and don’t see a lot of reviews. This place is great.

McDaniel was incredibly kind and listened to what I had to say. I didn’t feel misunderstood or judged. I’ve always hated any kind of physical or mental health appointment. While it’s still unpleasant having to see a healthcare provider he really decreased the anxiety and dread I feel. The reception/“front desk” staff were also so helpful and patient

I chose this facility based off of reviews for a Psyc assessment for my teenager. They’re booked a couple months out but they’ll try to get you in if they have cancellations. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was quite hesitant due to their lack of a website. Although the reviews were good, it was still only 6 reviews at the end of the day. They don’t take insurance so we paid out of pocket and I’ll just get reimbursed with my HSA. The outside brick building is nice and the inside is simply a no-frills Dr office. Now to the “meat” of this review. Dr. McDaniel is the best. Hands down. He made us feel comfortable IMMEDIATELY. And I say “us” but to make a hormonal 16 immediately at ease is quite hard to do. Especially considering she was mad at me leading up to this appt (abt something completely unrelated). Dr. McDaniel has excellent people skills and to tell you the truth, he made the entire appt a pleasant experience while getting right down to business. I received the assessment in the mail less than a week later and it’s a thorough report. I wish I had another assessment to complete to see him again! Yes…just THAT good. So if you don’t get the point thus far, I’d recommend him for any of your psychological needs.

Dr mike actually understood me like no other dr I have seen. Extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Cares about his patients, and has wisdom and healing unmatched.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to describe my experience at Psychological Consulting. After a horrific experience with a psychologist in Kearneysville (I saw Dr. Milbourne in February and she has ghosted me since), I decided to get another evaluation for ADHD and pay out-of-pocket since my insurance wouldn't cover two in one year. It was worth every penny (and very reasonable). The lady at the front desk always answers the phone and calls you back promptly. There was about a month wait time but that's normal for the area. On Monday, I saw Dr. Morton and she was amazing! Very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I felt listened to and this evaluation was way more thorough than the previous one at the other practice. Most importantly, she had the report done and faxed to my PCP the next day. I messaged my doctor today to ask her to let me know if she didn't receive it by our appointment next week so I could follow up and she already had it! The previous psychologist told me it would take 30 days (then later told my insurance company 45-90 after I reported her). Dr. Morton had it turned around for me in ONE DAY! They had originally told me they complete reports in a week (still super fast) but I have to believe that after hearing my story about this other psychologist and how long I've been waiting, she rushed it for me. She is an absolute star. I am so grateful to everyone at this practice and would hands down recommend them to anyone desperately seeking answers for their mental health.
