Rise Autism Therapy Services

Not what I expected. I had a bad experience with one lady in the staff. She screamed at my son infront of me! Also, Kids can't get sick, because they will terminate services. I wish I can give them 0 starts. I was very disappointing!

Diagnosed with autism at an early age, our daughter finds it difficult to understand how to navigate daily life. She has had challenges everywhere, from understanding how to brush her teeth to connecting with peers. She's now 14 years old, so as we attempted to find ABA services, there were no options in Bloomington; we were told that she's too old to be served. Luckily, Rise Autism Therapy was opening while we were hitting a wall. Our daughter has been receiving services from Rise for the last 3 years and has been thriving. Communication is a complex web of understandings and misunderstandings; it becomes even more complicated for our daughter because the abstract doesn't make sense. When asked a question, she would repeat the question back as a response. When she wanted something, she would talk about issues relating to the object of her desire instead of asking for what she wanted. The denial of a preferred activity would set off events from slamming doors to screaming. While we can communicate, understanding one another is more difficult. When we think about what's most important in life, I imagine most of us will list friends and family. Social relationships provide us with a sense of connection, purpose, and support. Our daughter is generally upbeat and excited about everything. Interaction with and attention from other people is her most significant source of joy. Unfortunately, she hasn't understood how to manage a conversation that focuses on the interests of others. She been the epitome of extroversion with no understanding of how to focus outside herself. So, why do we continue to choose Rise Autism? Because after the first year of working with the talented, caring, and professional Behavior Technicians at Rise, our daughter began asking us how our day is over dinner. She was able play games with peers with some success. She now understands what "why" means and express herself. After three years her skills have progressed. She's made a best friend at Rise. She can articulate how she feels and what to do when she's frustrated. She's growing. Rise Autism is helping our daughter to piece together the connections in language to create connections with the people in her life. And for that, we are grateful. The staff is stable, caring, and capable. If you're looking for an ABA provider we could not recommend Rise more highly.

My son loves going to Rise everyday! The staff is wonderful and make you feel like family! We love everyone there!

Hands down the highest quality care for children diagnosed with Autism in the state. I would recommend nowhere else before Rise.
