Sensory Sprouts

Shannon at Sensory Sprouts has been absolutely fantastic to work with. Her thoughtful approach has very successful with my son. We have been able to make a lot of progress and I feel much more equipped to meet his sensory needs. She builds a strong relationship with the child as well as a great partnership with the parent. She is creative, resourceful and supportive. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Shannon is amazing. I brought my four year old in because she seemed to be having bigger and more frequent emotional outbursts than other kids her age. After 3 months (sessions once a week), we have gone from 2-3 20+ minute outbursts/arguments A DAY, to 2-3 10+minute ones A WEEK. It is significant progress. We have worked on behavior, emotional regulation, real world social situations, bedtime health, bed wetting and thumb sucking. My child has learned so much about herself and I have also learned how to better communicate with her and understand her needs. While it is hard work for me and my child, we are seeing the benefits and slowly making progress toward a more calm and happy household.

Shannon is a wonderful OT. She has helped my child with sensory issues and I have seen an improvement in my daughter’s behavior, regulation and other physical abilities in the last 6 months. She is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience! Thank you for offering adaptive soccer . So well organized, interactive, space for rests if needed or high paced if needed, and well staffed.

We have loved working with Shannon. She has been a huge support and so helpful while we navigate our daughter’s sensory needs. She has helped us overcome some big challenges. If I could give Sensory Sprouts 1,000 stars I would. My neurodivergent son has been working with Shannon Domfort via Occupational Therapy for over two years now. The growth we've seen in him, overcoming numerous challenges, is incredible. In addition, just this month we joined Sensory Sprouts Ball For All soccer summer program. I have never seen any organized sport class so in tune to each child's needs, attentive to ensure that they are actually learning and participating in a productive way. ***In my 6 years as a parent we have participated in swimming lessons at four different places, gymnastics, ninja, ballet at two places, hip hop and tap classes - so I have lots of reference points. All sports should be designed this way. My son is now feeling confident enough in his sporting ability that he's asking for more sports in a social setting. My daughter, neurotypical but shy, has left Ball For All practices with an incredible sense of confidence and eagerness to continue on her path of athletics. What Ms. Domfort and the Sensory Sprouts organization is doing is truly a gift for our children and I would encourage other parents to give it a try.

The Ball for All program is such a fantastic opportunity for any kid to learn soccer skills in an inclusive, non-competitive environment. Having adult buddies to help teach each young player is a fantastic design. The program places a high value on working together and celebrating each other while teaching essential soccer skills.

10/10 highly recommended for all kiddos! This was my son's first time participating in a sport and he loved it. I love that each kid had a buddy (adult assistance) to guide them through all the drills,activities, and socializing. The parents of the other children were welcomimg and supportive as well which created a calming atmosphere. I wish the season was longer but I appreciate Shannon and all of the volunteers for everything that they did 💙
