Small Steps Pediatric Therapy

it’s ironic how this is a place for speech but the workers here do a horrible job of communicating with parents.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t bring your child here.

Small Steps has been such a blessing throughout out the years. Through the therapists and staffs patience and determination they’ve helped miracles happen with my son. I will forever be grateful to them for helping my son be who he is today.

They do not have it together, my son’s been doing the virtual class with one of their workers @7 pm since they are only open till 5 . And most adults work a 9-5 so obviously those hours Arnt good . The teacher they gave us doesn’t speak great English so this was a bad start to begin with, trying to get kids to pronounce things they can’t either . And Changing appointments without any discussion, and being completely rude when I’m confused about the time change . Since .. it wasn’t discussed. Because apparently their times during summer are different. Even though they don’t bother telling you the times will be changing so you can make proper arrangements. They just change it . Hate to pull him out but at this point I think it’s doing more bad than good.

I think small steps is wonderful. My great grand daughter has Autism. She has speech and occupational therapy there. Her speech has really improved. She loves all her thearapist.

Do not use Small Steps, this place is a JOKE. Called in January for speech and OT for my toddler, got an OT appointment for late February, ST wasn’t available until JUNE. Okay, fine, whatever, I waited. Went to the OT eval, they said they didn’t have my referral (my pediatrician faxed it a month prior) so I called and had both referrals resent. They were supposed to write up their report and contact me back to start a therapy schedule, never heard from them again even after I called back 3 times. Showed up today for the speech appointment I waited SIX MONTHS for. They ignored my name on the sign in sheet, eight other kids and an hour and a half later I asked why she hadn’t been seen yet and they tell me they thought I didn’t show up. The waiting room is a sardine can, there’s no way you didn’t see us or called our name! Then claimed AGAIN that they didn’t have the referral. I asked them to call the pediatrician but they said I have to do it. Meanwhile I have a tired cranky autistic toddler to wrangle and we’ve been here an hour and a half. I walked out from this nonsense. No apology, no help, just useless!
