Small Steps Therapy

Absolutely horrible experience. Getting into contact with anyone at this company was nonexistent. The therapist herself was very nice when we finally got someone to respond, but my daughter spent 30 mins with her for an absurd amount of money only for them to basically ignore us when we got to the center. There is NO ONE who answers phones there, no one at the front desk at their office, and no one who can help you when you need immediate assistance (Meaning within a few hours during working hours) or to contact them due to finding the office or letting them know if you're running late. I also called incredibly frustrated and confused almost two weeks ago, left a message, and have yet to hear anything back from them. This was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a pediatric place of business. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone's child.

I can’t say enough great things about Small Steps! We took our daughter to the Lincoln location from the time she was 2 months old until she was discharged recently at 10 months old. The providers who worked with us (Sarah, Kelsey, and Jamie) were fantastic. They were kind, knowledgable, and helped our daughter catch up in various areas. She would not be where she is today without all of their help!

The waiting room feels isolating, almost as if parents are shut out, with little opportunity to build a relationship with the staff. Since there’s no front desk or window, we just sit alone until someone comes out, and there isn’t even a phone number to call, everything has to go through email.

I brought my daughter to the Lincoln location from the time she was 3 weeks old! Sarah and Kelsey were amazing working with her for both OT and speech. Her feeding issues were resolved without the need to see a pediatric dentist for a tongue tie which I was so relieved about! Kelsey worked with her for months addressing multiple needs for OT and now she is meeting all of her milestones in a timely fashion. So grateful for small steps and will definitely be coming back for any future babes!

Our clinician, Ashley, was helpful during our initial speech evaluation of our 2-year-old. She was attentive and responded appropriately to our needs. It shows she cared as much about us as parents, as she did about our child. The rooms (and waiting room) are cozy and have activities (and toys) for the kids to occupy their time with during your visit.

I was unsure of what to expect from Small Steps when I first took my second child at 1 month old. All I knew for sure was that we needed to find help with feeding. The staff were very attentive & knowledgeable. I always felt I was actively involved in my baby’s care and progress. I wish I had known about their services with my first, instead of struggling with feeds. For anyone wondering whether they should tap into these services, I would absolutely recommend the Lincoln office. Kelsey, Sarah, & Alyssa were great and helped us immensely. Truly experts in their fields.

I can't think of any negative things to say about Small Steps. Over the past 5 years both of my sons have received speech services here. I could not be happier with the support they received and the progress they made. If you are looking for a place to bring your kids for speech services look no further!

We attended the Lincoln location and honestly the most attentive team I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, very involved with my child and excellent communication always an email to reach out on upcoming appointments or to reschedule. My son is very sensory sensitive and they had a lot of patience with him. I started to notice my son looking forward to his visits and I could see how comfortable he was around his therapist (which is rare for him) he attended since almost the beginning of the year and we could definitely see improvements in him as we were consistent with appointments and applying same skills at home
