SmallTalk has been such a positive experience for our family. Our preschool aged son currently attends both social group and individual therapy with Ethan. Sessions are play-based, full of active engagement, evidence-based strategies and fun! Ethan has both a strong clinical skill-set and a natural ability to build connection that has helped our son make significant progress in both social interactions and articulation in just a few months. With the support of both Ethan and our previous therapist Shelby, he has made his first friendships with the other kids in group and looks forward to every session! We are also so grateful for Sarah's (the owner) collaborative and flexible approach to working with our family and supporting our son's individual needs. I highly recommend SmallTalk to anyone looking for quality speech services!

Kallan at Small Talk Speech Therapy in Bellevue has been an absolute blessing for our family. My daughter is a Gestalt Language Processor, and navigating her communication journey required a specific type of support that Kallan provides perfectly. In just a few months, we have seen a major transformation. With Kallan’s gentle guidance and friendship, my daughter’s communication skills have blossomed, leading to much more independent conversation. Even more impressively, her ability to regulate her emotions has improved drastically. Kallan is a wonderful teacher and therapist, and our daughter is a happier, more confident person because of her. Highly recommended!

I'm very happy with the social skills group that SmallTalk offers. We have been with the same group of kids for 2 years now, and the kids in the group are some of my daughter's best friends. The teachers/therapists have all been fantastic, and we plan to continue for as long as we can with this group.

We’ve had a wonderful experience working with Ms. Diana as our speech therapist. Her methods are highly effective, and she connects with children immediately by engaging through their interests. Our son was diagnosed early (age 3.5) with Autism. He needed many services, including speech therapy, to help him meet those all important milestones. We started working with Sarah who helped us navigate our son's needs. She built trust with him (and with us!) and thanks to SmallTalk and a lot of hard work, our son is thriving. He graduated HS and is currently navigating life as a college student. We are SO thankful for the early assistance we got from Sarah. We highly recommend her if you have a child in need.

Our family has been working with SmallTalk Speech Therapy since Fall 2024 for our son, who was two when he began therapy. He has an undiagnosed motor and speech condition, likely involving apraxia and dyspraxia, and is currently almost nonverbal but highly receptive and eager to communicate. He sees Sarah, the owner and a specialist in PROMPT therapy, and Kallan, who focuses on using an adaptive communication device. Both are exceptionally knowledgeable, flexible, and engaging, and they’ve built a strong connection with our son—he looks forward to every session. They provide outstanding support and education for us as parents, helping us better understand how to foster communication at home. We had several other speech therapists from other practices over the last two years; none of them were able to connect with our son as well as this team. We’ve also appreciated how organized and easy to work with the practice has been regarding billing and insurance documentation. Appointment availability is excellent. My husband and I both work full time but had no problem finding appointment times that work with our schedules. Right now we visit the office, though they also offer on-site visits in the surrounding community. Our son has made steady, meaningful progress, and we can’t recommend SmallTalk Speech Therapy enough to any family seeking compassionate, evidence-based speech therapy in the Bellevue area.
