SmallTalk Pediatric Therapy

Have been coming here for months! Great staff and greet environment for my child !

My son has been coming here since 2022, we love it and he has developed rapidly since then.

My oldest has been with Smalltalk since late 2022, and this year my youngest has joined for speech therapy and they both love it. The therapists are always kind and fun, finding interesting ways for the kids to work at their goals. I wish there Smalltalks everywhere, we will miss them when we move!

Small Talk Speech Therapy has been great for my Son. He’s having a Speech delay, as he’s getting older and they’ve been amazing his Therapist, Amanda has been great with him! He’s always excited to see her and he’s coming along with his speaking. It’s a good location in Mission Valley, off Hotel Circle, very centralized. I appreciate their help and patience with my child’s speech development!

SmallTalk therapy was such a great experience. My son was assigned to Ms. Ally who was such a blessing to have have. There was so much improvement from beginning to end. I highly recommend.

The speech therapists are fabulous and really work at my daughter’s level to engage her in play. They also let me know what I can be doing to help at home but are very understanding if we’ve had a busy week and are less productive sometimes.

Small talk Pediatric Therapy is an in network provider for Rady Children’s under blue shield promise. After talking with Grace we were told that small talk only take ONE blue shield promise / Rady’s Children’s Providers Network at a time. It could be between 9-12 months before the slot opens. However, if my child had a commercial plan my child could get in immediately. Since I have cancer I am unable to work, so my child is penalized by Small Talk Pediatric Therapy. Rather than trying to help children become functional parts of society they penalize them based on their insurance. I would never recommend a company that tells patients this. **Update based on their Response** I have provided the email I received from the administrative director. Their entire reply fails to accommodate the fact that blue shield promise has told me that I can only go to small talk as they are an in-network provider. An in network provider that only allows one person from the insurance company to go is ethically wrong. This provider prioritizes money over helping clients. The difference in price between commercial and blue shield promise is probably $10. If you didn't want to accept blue shield promise then you shouldn't be an in network provider for them. That is not the patients fault, that is you the business. I would recommend removing yourself from the Rady's and Blue Shield Promise Network so parents can actually get access to speech therapy. Shame on your company.

We absolutely love SmallTalk! My daughters have with Emily v and Paige and they have made SO much progress and absolutely LOVE their speech days! :) In addition, in days they have been out, they still have someone step in and even those that have come in as “subs” for that day are amazing! The also let me know what they’ve been working on so that way I can relay to my oldest daughter’s teacher! Highly recommend! Karla too who works in the front is SO accommodating and understanding! We are very happy with the care and environment here :)

We are so grateful for SmallTalk and highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding speech therapy services!
