Dealing with this organization was so disappointing. Communication and follow through was severely lacking. And now I’m finding out (after they convinced me to terminate IDRD) that I could’ve been getting compensation as a full time caregiver but NOBODY EVER TOLD ME THAT. So now my son is 21 and I’m having to start over. DO BETTER! This is difficult enough as a parent and caregiver. Your lack of communication and telling me my options had delayed this process for who knows how long.
I have been at a loss trying to find resources for my child who has suspected Autism. Thanks to Alexis, she got me to the place for a diagnostic testing site that did not have a wait. We have been on a year wait with another place. She was very helpful and made this very stressed Momma take some of that stress off my plate. Thank you kindly Alexis!!
Supportive and thankful to have this organization avail when needed. Our parent mentor Rhoda was patient and very supportive in our questions.
Cannot reach this place during business hours. It goes straight to voice mail. Also their case management services are horrible. Unbelievable how chaotic, unorganized, incompetent, and uncaring this organization is! Case management services are below one star. I wish I could put ZERO stars. The case managers DO NOT CARE and don't follow REQUIRED Medicaid guidelines to meet needs of individuals with special needs. Multiple families have been left hanging without services. This group needs to GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!
So I got an alert from my credit card company that fraudulent behavior was being noticed. 1st attempt was zero dollars (I was told they do this to see if the card is active) then the next day, they attempted to charge over $1100. Now I have left 2 messages for the Executive Director and 1 message on a random lady's voicemail at the South Carolina Autism Society and still have not received a phone call back! So here I am with a Google review hoping to hear from someone at the SCAS as to why my credit card is being charged from an organization that isn't even in the same country I live in!
