I was very impressed with Doctor Datz and her staff for their professionalism. I had many questions about starting therapy, the nice young lady at the front desk had no problem answering them all, which in turn put my mind at ease! I am now looking forward to going to therapy and dealing with my issues!

I loved working with my therapist Kasey, but I had to quit attending because of Dr. Datz. I got ADHD testing, and she told me that I showed some signs but my grades were too high. She also called it ADD the entire time which doesn’t even officially exist anymore! Her information was so outdated. Do not come here if you are a woman seeking a fair diagnosis. She was also rude, showed up to the appointment 15 minutes late and then ended early and even said there wasn’t enough time for me to speak! I could hardly believe how unprofessional her behavior was. During that appointment, she talked over me, was completely dismissive, talked to me like I was a kid, and put her comfort over mine when my cats kept opening my half-broken door at the time during a virtual appointment. She’d get visibly angry and stop speaking every time I stood up to close it even though I lived with roommates who I didn’t want to hear, which partially triggered the significant trauma from authority figures she knew I had. It wasn’t like I was walking off screen, either, I was bringing it with me. She said she didn’t like the distraction—despite it being three seconds at most. She also cited one test as being the most important and telling in whether or not I had it, yet when I did my own research, that test had been largely discredited in recent years and “should only be used as supporting evidence.” I knew that Kasey would talk to Dr. Datz if she needed help understanding something, and with her outdated information and extremely rude behavior, I had to leave. She seemed okay at first, but be warned. I would also talk about things like coping mechanisms I had researched, which she would immediately interrupt to say, “No, that’s not right” until I explained how it DID work for me, and she would immediately just stop talking without apologizing or explaining herself. During these times, I would frequently have to just keep talking to keep from being interrupted like that, extremely unprofessional behavior!!! Kasey was really great though, and I miss her! We were just starting on Polyvegal theory. I wish I could have kept seeing her. The office people were really nice, too. Beware of Dr. Datz! She seemed nice, and I liked her at first, but her behavior and outdated information is just plain negligent. I’d give it one star if not for Kasey.

Well I was very hesitant to go to a “shrink”. Guys are supposed swallow their feelings right? Dr. Datz was fantastic in making me feel comfortable enough to open up about some of the issues I was having. After just a few sessions with her I started to feel like a weight was lifted and I began to feel normal again. I truly appreciate everything she has done for me and could not ask for more from a psychologist. Her and her staff were extremely courteous and professional. They even accepted my insurance and made the payment process a breeze.
