Kristen came to our home to evaluate our baby for a possible tongue tie, and was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the entire visit. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate professional to help you with your little one’s oral motor skills and feeding challenges, you are in the most competent hands with Kristen at Spark Pediatric Therapy! My husband and I were lost with how to help our post tongue tie revision baby who had reflux and trouble gaining weight. I was so impressed with how Kristen was so intentional for each appointment to evaluate our son’s oral anatomy and mobility, educate us (the parents) on his progress and continued growth/goals to work towards, and equip us with exercises to develop the skills further. Thankfully we started working with Kristen before I completely threw in the towel for breastfeeding. In just four weeks of working with Kristen we went from 1-2 painful latches a day (due to his tongue mobility limitations) where he was transferring less than an ounce each session to exclusively breastfeeding pain free and transferring 3.5-4oz (full feeds). The most important results from working with Kristen were his weight percentiles improvements - going from the 6th percentile when we first started working with her to the 20th percentile, again in just 4 weeks! Should we face any feeding challenges when our son starts solids, we know we can count on Kristen!
