I am unsure if Mary just has a full load of patients already and unable to take on anyone new which that should have just been said. However, when I called to receive speech therapy services for my child, I was referred to reach out to someone else because according to her "he is using a speech communication device" as one of his forms of communication. My child uses a few words, in addition to his speech device and sign language. He is only 4 years old. However, I would love for his main way to communicate to be through words instead of him currently taking my hand and leading me to what he wants or me guessing! I would not recommend anyone to seek services from her. She seems uneducated, lazy, and unmotivated. A professional would let me know what services they are able to offer and me as the guardian of the patient would decide whether or not those are the appropriate services for my child.
People do not usually write reviews but as Mary Jane's husband I can attest to the fact that she is terrific with children and perhaps the very best speech pathologist in Louisville. Her intelligence and passion for helping children are part of the reason that I love her. My review is biased, but truthful. Her goal is always to fix your child's speech as soon as possible.
