Sprouting Roots Speech Therapy

Stephanie Thorne at Sprouting Roots has been our son’s SLP for four years. As a busy family, and particularly as parents of a child with special needs, a calendar full of various specialist appointments can feel stressful and daunting. But, we truly always look forward to our sessions with Mrs. Stephanie! She has always been patient and kind, and our son has so much fun working with her. I cannot overstate how much her hard work and guidance has helped to improve our child’s communication over the years, and made us so much more optimistic about his future. We have been with Sprouting Roots for about a year and a half and couldn't be happier. I received a same day response to my initial inquiry and we were able to be seen very soon after for an evaluation. Our child's speech has improved dramatically thanks to Mrs. Stephanie and we love coming each week. Stephanie makes therapy fun for kids while also making such great use of every second of the session. Highly recommend Sprouting Roots Speech Therapy!

We had a great experience being evaluated, and I think my son had 1 appt afterwards. After that I voiced that I was about to give birth and then travel for the holidays and we agreed we would continue after the new year. I emailed and got responses like “I’ll check my schedule” and then nothing even with my continued follow up emails asking for updates. We ended up going elsewhere.

My son received speech therapy briefly at this office and then his medicaid needed to be reaffirmed. I reaffirmed his medicaid no later than a few days and sent emails and got no response from their office. Very unprofessional. I also received no discharge paperwork for discontinuing services.

Nicole was nothing short of a blessing to our family. Our LC recommended we see her based on our newborn’s issues with proper latch. Nicole made some initial assessments and supported our decision to go through with oral tie release. We saw her regularly where she taught us the proper post-op exercises and evaluated progress. Nicole has deep knowledge and understanding of infant oral motor function and I was super impressed by her. Moreover, Nicole is the most kind, patient, and encouraging provider. I never felt rushed or pressured, and she was SO gentle with my baby. We are so thankful to have had Nicole’s expertise and encouragement and would absolutely recommend her to anyone dealing with latch or feeding issues.

Nicole was such a blessing to us! After my infants's tongue tie reattached post release, the doctor wanted to do a revision. Something told me to get a 2nd opinion and I'm so glad we did! Nicole did a very thorough assessment and came up with a plan of care immediately. His tie had been released adequately enough, but he needed help getting everything to work properly. She has a great deal of experience and is very knowledgeable. She worked patiently and delicately with my baby and took her time insuring I was able to perform the nessessary exercises to adjust my son's latch, suck, and palate. There's so much more to oral tethers than just getting a release and how they impact mouth structures during development. She saved our breastfeeding journey and possibly prevented lifelong breathing, sinus, and dental issues. I can't recommend Nicole enough! If you think your child is having issues and your pediatrician and lactation consultant say your child is fine, please dont hesitate to get a consult with Nicole Aldridge.

Nicole was a wonderful member of our team when my infant had feeding issues! Our lactation consultant suggested an SLP many be able to help us out and she was correct. Nicole did a fantastic job of explaining what skills by baby was struggling with and teaching me stretches and exercises I could do with her to help her improve! Nicole was very encouraging and informative, we were very grateful to have her on our team.
