The ladies here were wonderful. So nice. My kiddo was very at ease.

We are grateful for the staff and Colby Hammer, our son’s therapist. He has been an encourager and supporter of our son and us as parents. My son feels heard and feels like he is moving forward in positive ways. We highly recommend Colby and the facility.

I do think they mean well, but I was not thrilled with the method they chose for the initial appointment. After waiting over 2 and a half years of being on the waitlist I expected more. Our appointment was two hours long and 90% of it was them asking me and my son’s dad questions and barely talking to my son. He was in the room with us and answered a few questions, but I expected more of a one-on-one evaluation and more personable evaluation. I did not have a great experience because with this method the doctor has to take our word for what is going on with our son. Me and his dad have very different opinions on things and I have had to advocate for my son his entire life. Dad lied multiple times throughout the “evaluation”. He has also admitted to me that he does not want our son to have a “label” which is why I believe he made things seem like no big deal to the doctor and that my son showed “normal” kid behaviors. He lied about my son not showing certain episodes and did not talk about certain behaviors that have happened in front of dad. I do not feel comfortable speaking up in front of dad and could have brought up multiple examples, I have been belittled by him over this throughout the entire journey and I was hoping that the clinic would have focused more on my son so that they could see things for themselves. I wish they would have done a more in depth one-on-one evaluation with my son. I feel the way that they approached this left a lot of room for manipulation and not seeing the full truth of what is going on and leaving me feeling very helpless when all I wanted was help for my son. I left this appointment with more questions than answers and feeling completely defeated and devastated for my son. I really wish I had better things to say about this place after anticipating the appointment for over two years. If I had advice for the clinic it would be to do the initial evaluation more with the kid and maybe even separate from family and save the questions for parents after so that they can get an unbiased initial evaluation.

Seriously wish I could rate negative stars at this so called department. My girlfriend recently took her son there for an evaluation, they didn’t give her son a one on one evaluation. Her ex husbands was there and they have very conflicting arguments about the situation and the doctor pretty much sided with the ex and did not take her care or consideration into account with their sons issues. After waiting for two years for this appointment and being treated like her concerns didn’t mean nothing and never actually talked with her son not sure how this place can diagnose and treat anyone. Highly recommend not ever using this place, i will never trust taking any of my family members there for any evaluation.

Dawn is an irreplaceable part of my son’s care team. She is thorough, kind, and responsive to any questions or concerns I have. She is great with my son and a wonderful provider!

Have you ever called somewhere or had someone call you and you instantly know that they are not wanting to do what they are currently doing? This is how I feel about the four experiences I had with this office. I first got her phone call from the referral office after my son was referred there in December 2023 the woman who runs the referral office was extremely rude while getting personal information to send out paperwork, she was so rude that I unfortunately did not return the paperwork until she called a second time. The second time she was nicer and explained to me that as soon as they got my son‘s paperwork, he would put be put on a fast track waitlist due to his age and developmental delays . She informed me that this waitlist was six months. I then called back in July 2024 to see the status of the referral. I was told in that phone call. He was put on the six month waitlist and I would be getting a call mid October to schedule the appointment that leads us to today October 21, 2024 I called the office to inquire on the referral to see about scheduling the appointment because it has been 6 months. when the office staff answered the phone, of course no name was given so I knew it was going to be a fun conversation, but I still had high hopes. The young lady put me on hold when she came back. She told me that the waitlist was a year so he wouldn’t even be getting a call till the end of April 2025 or beginning of May. I then asked why was I told I was on a six month waitlist and her only answer no matter how I asked it or about the referral process was I was given “misinformation”. When your child has developmental needs and is required to see a specialist, we shouldn’t have to deal with rude medical personnel. I feel that being told I was given “misinformation” is not a valid excuse on why I was told six months instead of a YEAR! This is very discouraging and upsetting to be treated this way I have seen other reviews, and heard by mouth from other parents of similar situations. I am so discouraged and disappointed by my experience. I called my child’s doctor for a different referral, even if I had to go out of state. It really shouldn’t be this hard for parents to get their children help. We only have two hospitals in the area and this makes it hard to trust St. Luke’s from here on out. People really need to start doing better
