Steady Strides ABA

We’ve been with Steady Strides ABA since moving to Houston 4 years ago. Although they are out-of-network for us, we chose to stay because of the phenomenal progress we’ve seen in our son. They have supported him in becoming school ready, vacation ready, and confident in community outings like grocery shopping. Most importantly, they’ve helped him build meaningful social skills which in turn has helped him make friends!! What has truly set Steady Strides apart is the unwavering belief they have in our child. It has never been a question of if he ‘will’ achieve something, but ‘’when’. That mindset has been incredibly powerful and encouraging for us as parents. Beyond helping our child, they’ve educated us and equipped us with the tools to better understand and support our neurodiverse son. The team is approachable, open to feedback, and proactive about implementing it. The therapists are skilled, compassionate, and for the most part quite consistent over the past 4 years. They’re also flexible when it comes to schedule changes or vacation pauses, and on the rare occasion a therapist has had to cancel, they almost always find coverage. We’ve been deeply impressed and grateful for their dedication and professionalism.

My little Jeremy hardly talked at all. I was worried about him. Seven years old is too old not to be talking. He was frustrated a lot, crying frequently, unwilling to join in with other children and his siblings to play, played by himself most of the time, and I hardly had any interactions with him. I felt like I didn’t know my child. Ever since working with Steady Strides, he is like a new person! He talks, initiates conversation, expresses his opinion, shares his thoughts and feelings, has less breakdowns, plays with his siblings and other children more, is more physically affectionate, and is much better able to express himself. He’s a silly tease and very smart. Things I already knew but it’s much more apparent now. My heart is full with pride and joy seeing my little guy becoming the boy he was always meant to be and I can’t wait to see how much more he progresses.

I am thoroughly impressed with the program. The therapists who come to our house are outstanding. My son has made tremendous progress, and I truly appreciate the professionalism of everyone involved.

HHigh therapist turnover is the only significant issue found throughout the time they've been supporting our family. The moment I feel we are making progress, we have to start again. The management crew is very responsive.

Steady Strides is truly an incredible place. Their true care and concern for each child is visible in every interaction with the administrative staff, therapists, and BCBAs. The driving force behind the company is solely their desire to see each child with Autism maximizing their potential in the best way possible. The support they provide to families is unparalleled, from navigating the complexities of insurance to providing parent support and training throughout the process. Their therapists are clinically strong and experienced, the BCBAs are knowledgeable and incredibly supportive, and the office staff is warm, compassionate, and responsive. It's amazing to see how they are truly impacting the lives of kids with Autism and their families in immeasurable ways. This is no regular ABA agency!
