Step Beyond Development

Someone close to me went here and this place is great and very clean! Locks on doors so children can’t escape and all the staff is very friendly and informative as well! Truly enjoyed our experience here !!

We started our child here at only 18 months old, and 5 stars isn’t enough. Everyone was saying not to send her because ABA can be controversial, but if I had listened to peers/family, she would likely be nonverbal to this day. Her developmental pediatrician was adamant it would help her. She was completely nonverbal when she started here. Not even gestures and severe behavior issues. Within weeks of starting she was gesturing, and by 2 years old she was considered verbal. After outpatient therapy failed initially (for us, for others it may be the right fit), ABA was the solution. Not only did our insurance cover it with zero issues, any billing issue we had after starting (our insurance’s fault) was diligently resolved by Pam, and she worked with me on a big issue with up to 10 calls a day to ensure it was all taken care of. When we decided to finally pull our daughter to get some extra OT/PT/ST to give her a different environment before prek3 started, we realized that the help she was getting from ABA was so vital to her growth that we are now doing a hybrid of both until she starts prek3. We will likely be back every summer till she’s 18 if she needs it, but I don’t see us needing them much longer since they truly got her to being in a place where only we can notice her issues and those issues that are left are things that can be chalked up to toddlerhood. I’m blown away and I’ll always refer people here.

My 5 year old goes here. He has level 3 autism. We've been going for over a year. He loves going and is always excited when we pull up. The therapists are kind and knowledgeable. He seems to improve everyday! He is talking more and trying new things.

We were looking for an ABA therapy center for our 3 year old kid and Step beyond happened to be close and convinient. Only later we came to understand how lucky we were to find such a professional , caring and result oriented center for our kid . Our kid went from almost non responsive to highly interactive child. Tantrums down and potty trained. He mastered so many of a 3-4 year old milestones from telling his parents names to their phone numbers. He is now much interested in making friends. A big shout out to Miss Caitlin and Miss Hannah for their continuous love, support for helping our child. We wouldn’t have seen such a turn around of our kid without them. The entire team here is so much involved for helping the children and the families. We are truly thankful to them for all that they do. We wish them all the very best!!

We were suggested Step Beyond by our psychologist because she said it was one of the better ones. It was challenging to get our son in a first because of needing to get doctors referrals. Once we got our son in, he improved tremendously and really enjoyed going. At the beginning he was non verbal and had lots of behavioral issues. He could not hold a pencil and was not potty trained ( despite our greatest attempts) . He only communicated by screaming his head off. After a few months into Step Beyond he finally learned to talk, his behavior lessened, learned to finally communicate without screaming, learned to be social with friends, learned to hold a pencil and is able to write and draw pictures now and is finally potty trained. Step Beyond was huge relief for our family! It is a God send!! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !!! I would highly recommend!!

Many thanks to Step Beyond Development for getting our son on the path to flourish! Our son was referred to Step Beyond Development by a medical provider well versed in autism. Step Beyond Development was not only willing to treat our son, a teenager, an age group with limited ABA providers, but did so in such a caring and kind way. They built a very positive rapport with our son, which enabled them to address difficult behaviors and issues. The therapy greatly helped with socialization, communication skills, and self-advocating. Most of all, they fostered the idea of continually practicing the skills outside of therapy. While ABA therapy is a substantial time commitment, it is effective, which we saw firsthand with our son. Step Beyond Development also accepted our insurance even though they had challenges in the past with processing claims through our carrier. They are knowledgeable of the “financial side” and able to manage claims and payments accurately and effectively.
