Our experience here has been excellent with two different evaluations and two different therapists. The front desk is friendly and communicative. Admin was so helpful to work with my insurance and calculate our costs ahead of time, which I appreciated so much. And both of my kids are making great progress with knowledgable and kind therapists. Would recommend.

I want to share a horrible experience with Step Forward Therapy. I called about a month in advance to schedule an appointment. They discussed the details with my insurance company, and we agreed that I would only pay when I received an official bill from them after it went through my insurance company. They said no problem. I also told them that I didn't have time to fill out the forms online, so I would do it when I come for my son's evaluation. My first surprise was when they emailed me and informed me that my appointment was scheduled for a different date than the day it was originally scheduled for. I asked why that was the case, at which point they realized they had mixed me up with another patient. Despite this small confusion which Jackie didn't apologize for, I took a half day off work and showed up today for my son's evaluation. They asked me to pay $340 copay. I said that according to our discussion I was not going to pay today and wait until it clears through my insurance first. Jackie was very rude, she cut me off while I was talking, didn't even let me finish my thoughts several times, and then I asked for her manager, she said Mary Ann, the owner of the place is away, and I needed to leave because she accused me of being aggressive, even though she was the one who was very unpleasant and rude to the customer. I have been to many places and have never been asked to pay in advance and everyone else was fine with my bill going through the insurance first, except Jackie. I wish she had let me know this when I called, I would have never made an appointment at this place especially knowing how disrespectfully she treats customers.

Step Forward Therapy is such a great place. The therapists are amazing and really care about the kids and families they work with. It’s so rewarding to see the progress being made. The front desk and support staff are just as great. They’re always kind, helpful, and ready to support families however they can. And Pumpkin and Comet make everything better. Seeing the dogs around just makes the space feel more relaxed and welcoming. You can tell the owner has built something really special here.

Our daughter has worked with Jorie for the better part of two years. Jorie is incredibly intuitive to what our daughter needs to focus on and gives us all a great professional and personal perspective on things. Maribeth is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful with tips and understanding of how to best help our daughter. It’s obviously they’re skilled at what they do and extremely compassionate.

If your child needs care, don’t look too far, Step Forward Therapy is the one setting bar! With OT and Speech, they guide the way, Helping kids grow more and more each day. If you seek a team, both kind and wise, Step Forward Therapy will surprise! Rolling Meadows’ is a hidden gem, I’m so grateful we found THEM!

We are so grateful for the preschool! Watching my son grow in so many ways has been incredible. His skills, confidence and curiosity shine more each day.

Preschool at Step Forward is absolutely the best! The teacher Miss Stacey puts her whole heart into these kids, and treats them all as her own. The kids absolutely adore her, she is patient, kind, and a wonderful teacher. Miss Kelli dives in and bonds with the kids quickly and you can tell she truly enjoys working with them. Then the cherry on top of all of this is having the therapists also join the classroom! The children get all the magic, school, and therapy just by being in class!! My son Carter gained so much confidence by being in this program, he was always smiling when he walked in! I highly recommend this preschool, your kids will love it!
