Stepping Stones Behavioral Solutions, LLC

So, I am unsure of all the negative reviews this clinic has received. My son attended this clinic from July 2023, until recently June 2025. He absolutely loved it. He loved engaging with all his therapists and his friends. They always gave me daily updates twice a day, regarding what they worked on, what he ate of his lunch, anything he needed more of. They are always quick to respond to any emails. And when my son graduated, they threw a huge party for him and you could tell he loved everyone of his therapists and friends he made over his time there. His behavior improved so much from when he first attended, to the end. We will miss everyone who helped us along our journey and are so grateful for everything.

The RBTs are unprofessional, unethical, and dangerous. They yell at the clients and use punishment procedures. They engage in billing fraud when not doing therapy and being on their phones instead. ABA is a medically necessary service. One RBT sprayed cleaning solution on another RBTs drink and HR didn't fire the girl. Also, there are RBTs that bully other RBTs. What if a client would have gotten the drink? What if the RBT got sick from the cleaning solution? This place needs to be shut down immediately.

So this has taken me a while to want to talk about. My son had been attending Stepping Stones for a little over a year. We started at the ABA location and then moved to The Academy. While at the ABA location he went through 6 therapist in a month. When I brought up my concern it was, “well we had to move things around.” Or “unfortunately another child needed that therapist.” The lack of common knowledge to know that consistency was needed to pair was ridiculous. When we moved to The Academy there were multiple incidents. One therapist tried to send my child into a behavior right in front of me. Then another time when I showed up early for pick up all the kids were on the playground while the therapists were on the porch chit chatting, the playground and porch are two separate areas. Then there was a field trip to the zoo where they asked for chaperones and when I went it was just a field trip for the therapists because none of them stayed with their kids. Yes I know, I should have pulled him after the first incident and I did after each one until I met with them. I would meet and ask what was going to change. They would always have some sort of “plan” in place but never enforced it. The final straw was in late November 2023, I arrive to pick up. As I am waiting in the car rider line I look out my window and see my son in the parking lot unattended. He had walked out the front door and NO ONE knew he was gone. He never went back. I do not recommend letting your child attend due to the nature of them just wanting money and not properly caring for your kiddos.

Staff has an incredibly hard time answering and returning calls. If such a simple expectation can't be met, I'd think twice before trusting them with your child.

They helped our foster son immensely! When it was time for him to leave and go back home to his family (over an hour away) the whole staff was crying and giving hugs. They work with you on how to help your child with autism at home too.
