These people are the best! I absolutely love the staff. They respond and help with everything right away. I wish I had a better word to describe how awesome they are. I never had this good of experience from any doctor’s office. I usually don’t leave reviews like this but I just wanted to let everyone know.

went in for my therapy intake, stated I’m there to find out some kind of ways to deal with depression, & therapist just asked “What do you expect me to do about it?” … I wasn’t sure how to respond to that and she spent the rest of the appointment just staring silently at her tablet. Kind of funny but not particularly helpful

No labs ordered prior to prescribing. No assurance of medical clearance… not even a little bit. Worst yet, my partner was told by one of your mid levels that lithium is not first line for bipolar disorder with history of mania and/or hypomania. I understand the provider fear/anxiety in prescribing it. Please consider that you’re placing your patients at a great disadvantage. Please update all of yourselves. Lithium should be encouraged! It’s the only mood stabilizer that decreases dementia risk and protects cognition. Sigh. Please do better here. I know pharmacy companies want you to prescribe the new second generation neuroleptics. Resist them please. Newer is not always better. He ended up needing involuntary inpatient treatment twice. He was finally stabilized on Olanzapine and Lithium. He has now switched to Lybalvi. He is far healthier now then at anytime he was under y’all’s care. I recommend your psychiatrist and mid levels read Stahls lithium handbook. Thank you.

I have been coming here for a while now and it has continued to be a great experience. The front office staff has always been friendly and on top of appointments and reminders. I have always seen Nick and he has been extremely helpful and able to walk me thoroughly through any questions or concerns. His guidance has made a world of difference for me. Even the office itself is very inviting and offers a warm and comfortable feeling that makes you feel more at home right away. This is where you want to be.

Very warm and kind people work here, the atmosphere is not like any other place and makes you feel like your not at a doctors office. My therapist is awesome!

I go to Summerville Psych for medicine management and therapy. Nick and Anna respectively. They have played a huge part in helping me get through some very rough patches in my life. Office staff are always attentive and friendly. The nostalgic waiting room is something I've always enjoyed too.

I will start by saying - Thank You to the amazing team at SPA! I started my mental health journey as a referral from my PCP, I was in a very dark place in my life... I have always been determined to "do it on my own" and I've always (looking back) suffered through the agony of anxiety on and off since being in middle school. From my first appointment with SPA I felt supported, welcome, and cared for. The office staff in the front are genuine and helpful. From the first appointment with my counselor, there was discussion of my expectations, as well as, how sessions will work. It was also discussed that if there was ever a time I didn't feel supported it was important to communicate, and they would assist me to help find a new counselor. I was impressed with the honesty and the focus on my mental health. I also see one of the amazing Physician's Assistants at this location who works with me and my counselor to ensure I continue to build on the work I've achieved in my journey. I will say this: if you are ready to put in the work on yourself - call and make an appointment with the team here at SPA! The great thing about this location is there are multiple options for someone to find the right care worker to assist on their mental health journey. It's been an AMAZING partnership, and I am so grateful for not just my care team, but the total team at SPA -Anna and Nic keep being amazing!!!
