I would like to offer feedback regarding Summit Therapy’s cancellation fee policy. In my view, policies that place financial penalties on patients for cancellations—particularly in a healthcare setting—reflect a business-centered rather than a patient-centered approach. Such practices can create unnecessary stress for patients and may conflict with the fundamental principles of care and compassion that healthcare organizations should uphold.
Unfortunately, my experience with Summit Therapy has been extremely disappointing. From the beginning, it felt like a constant waste of time—endless forms to fill out with no clear or concrete appointment being scheduled. What followed was a series of frustrating reschedules that disrupted our own schedule multiple times. Initially, we were told they don't take initial assessments after 5 PM, only to be offered a post-5 PM slot later—then that was also rescheduled because the therapist was either on vacation or out sick. The number of uncertainties and last-minute changes was surprising for a healthcare practice. There seems to be little regard for the patient’s time or planning. It honestly felt more like dealing with a disorganized mom-and-pop setup than a professional therapy practice. Due to the repeated unprofessionalism and lack of reliability, I cannot recommend Summit Therapy based on my personal experience.
I worked with Becca Harshman and she helped me so much. I was looking for an OT to treat me like an adult, but still help me with my challenges. As an autistic adult it was hard finding providers to work with me at my level. Then I found Summit Therapy and started working with Becca, and she was exactly what I needed. I was able to achieve my goals with her, and now I’m at a much better place. Highly recommend not only Summit Therapy, but Becca as well.
I don’t have impressive experience with this center they do not have well experienced therapists to handle special needs kids for therapeutic effect. My child goes to ABA center and other PT centers and no complains on any issues on handling the child, but this therapy center keeps complaining about behavior. The reason these autistic kids goes to OT and speech Therpay to have their issues fixed with therapeutic experience they have at clinic, but I don’t see that they are able handle these kids. They really need to hire good experienced therapists to run this businesses . It’s waste of time going to this therapy center.
We’ve been taking our toddler here for the Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy since last two years. Occupational Therapist Becca is thorough, pay attention to detail and my kid learnt a lot in her classes. She sometimes gets assistance from OT apprentices. Under the guidance of Speech therapist Hira Ahmed, my kid learnt lots of words and effective verbal communication. Her new speech therapist Tori Ashley is also having so much experience and building kids communication effectively. The therapists use latest therapy techniques to improve the skills of kiddos. It’s insurance covered and billing team is also efficient.
We have been going to Summit Therapy for almost 2 years for my husband’s primary progressive aphasia. The therapists are always prompt and professional, and the atmosphere is friendly and fun. We’re very pleased with their services. His speech therapist Maddie has been tremendous in helping him maintain his language skills through various strategies. She is enthusiastically upbeat, encouraging, and supportive, and she treats him with care and respect. After about a year of speech therapy, we added occupational/cognitive therapy with Becca, and she has also been extremely helpful and impactful. She includes several brief activities In each session that help him develop effective strategies and sharpen his thinking skills in an enjoyable way. Overall, we could not be more pleased with Summit Therapy..
