Many technicians here do not believe that the children are capable of learning. If you are sending your kid here to learn therapy skills, then consider another ABA clinic. There is one just up the road, and there are a lot of other options to choose from within the Portland Metro. The clinic is not what it seems from the outside, and a lot of the technicians are not qualified either.

DO NOT GO HERE. They can't keep staff and will bait and switch you to keep insurance paying for care that never truly happens. It's a joke ran by a bunch of entry level "techs".. No real licensing here and for those who are licensed professionals come and leave the organization. We were with Sunrise for one year. It took 7 months to locate an in-home tech that quit before stepping foot into our home. After consistent failed promises we decided to change our work hours to bring our child in for services but were denied due to not meeting the required amount of time that was prescribed to our child. We asked for a ramp up to the number of hours they thought was right for our child. they denied that. It SEEMS financially driven and they can't keep a staff member longer than 6 months. RUN from this place. There is no therapy happening here. Its just a way to funnel large sums of insurance dollars into the organization's pockets. What a waste of a year trying to get the care my child needs. The absolute worst ran organization in all of Oregon.
We have a 4 year old son who currently attends Sunrise in Portland, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel at home. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to providing the best care possible for each child. A standout for us has been our Board Certified Behavior Analyst or BCBA, Amanda Brachfeld. Her expertise and compassionate approach have made a significant difference in our child's progress. Amanda takes the time to understand each child's unique needs and tailors her strategies accordingly. Her patience and creativity in implementing engaging therapies have truly made learning fun for our son. She has truly gone above and beyond for us and he is thriving because of it! The center itself is well-equipped, with a variety of resources to support different learning styles. The collaborative environment encourages open communication between parents and staff, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding our child's development. They make sure all RBT therapists have the tools and training to be successful. We have been working with Nathan and India and they are absolutely amazing! We feel so blessed to have them. Overall, our experience at Sunrise has been nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for a supportive and effective ABA center, I wholeheartedly recommend this one!
