Dealing with Demestic abuse, having to shut off my debit card due to a frougalent charge, no phone except for texting, very little food, and it being the holidays, and no transportation, what I got was oh, I'm sorry to hear that and this was from a Case manager. And then on top of all this, she canceled 2 times after and a no call, no show and after 2 months she shows up to tell me she's closing with me.
Very good and helpful people always willing to help and give you a lending hands.

Sweetser is amazing!! I would highly recommend it. In the past I’ve used all that they had to offer. Now I’ve graduated to having just a case worker, Vanessa. She is so great and helps me so much. Then there’s my wonderful Peer counselor, John. He’s just awesome. He helps in so many ways it would take me all day to tell you about it. But take my word, he’s the best. And last but definitely not least, the newest addition to my team, Cheryl. She’s my Psychiatric nurse. Her and her right hand Ashley are fantastic!! They have helped me so much. All of them have. If you’re looking for a place to help you with your mental health no matter what your circumstances are. I’m sure Sweetser can help. And if by some chance they can’t help. They will find someone for you who can. They sincerely care from what I’ve experienced. We could all use a little mental health tweeking if we’re honest and Sweetser is the place to go. Thank you so so very much to everyone at Sweetser who has helped me or touched me. September 15, 2025: I’m still with Sweetser, and their people still go above and beyond. Two people in particular: John Hirth and Vanessa, I apologize I don’t remember last names well or first names for that matter…lol I don’t know what I would do without John. I look forward to his visits all week (he sees me Friday morning). And if I’m struggling and need some emotional support or just someone to talk too. He’ll get to me as soon as he can. And Vanessa’s visit’s, I never want them to end. We have such an easy time talking together. I feel very comfortable with both Vanessa and John and they are both the most empathetic people on the planet!!! My next update will be about the wonderful duo Cheryl and Ashley ت And just a footnote; if Sweetser is smart, and I know they are. They will hold on to these 4 rare people! Because you rarely (for lack of a better term) find 1 person in one place with these amazing qualities! And Sweetser has John, Vanessa, Cheryl and Ashley! I’d say that they’re pretty blessed. But not as blessed as I am to have Sweetser and they’re team on my side☻. ~Bonnie Dennett PTL✞ Topsham, ME
Wonderful care, provider actually listens. Love love love them!
For the CSU - I’m giving this 2 stars because the staff besides the Clinician Jenna was nice but there was an incident with the clinician Jenna that was inappropriate and disturbing especially from a clinician in a CSU. Hope the CSU gets better!
The care and support I receive from Sweetser has been consistently excellent. I am an adult with autism and other conditions that can make it difficult to function. I have been in and out of mental health facilities across New England and Ontario. Sweetser is by far my favourite team I've worked with. Sweetser is home to a variety of professionals of different specialties and functions. This allows a very personalized approach for each client's needs, as well as collaboration between departments on how to best support the client. At the current moment, I have four people on my team- Mandy, John, Cheryl and Caroline. Each one plays a very important role in supporting me in reaching my personal goals. Besides that, they're all exceptionally kind and patient people who really care about helping their clients. I am very grateful to have such a fantastic team in my corner.
If you have no other choice, still avoid this company if you are age 18 or older. The moment you become s client, they will officially stop caring about you. They will string you along with promises and they will just keep disappointing you and making you more and more angry. I regret ever considering this company. They can, and will make your mental health worse and then shrug their shoulders when you ask for help. Avoid at all costs. Edit 8/12/2022: It's sad that Sweetser responded to this asking for me to call them to make things right. To my complete lack of surprise, they did not answer the phone once. I have left messages leaving them my number they did not call back. They claim to care, but they don't. You are a walking bag of money to this company, nothing more. I can't wait to see this company go out of business.
